Gyeonggi Province Economic and Science Promotion Agency announced on the 13th that it is recruiting companies to participate in the ‘AI (Artificial Intelligence) Technology Verification Testbed Opportunity Demonstration Support Project’.
This project utilizes the infrastructure built in Pangyo Techno Valley in Seongnam to support companies to test, certify, and evaluate artificial intelligence technology in an actual urban environment, and the general public can also directly participate and experience artificial intelligence technology.
This year, Gyeonggiwon will carry out support projects divided into funded and non-funded types. The funded demonstration project provides a subsidy of 50 million won per project along with free use of test bed infrastructure and free consulting on performance evaluation and test certification. For this purpose, Gyeongwon is recruiting a total of 10 verification companies.
Non-funded demonstration projects can use test bed infrastructure (HW/SW) to learn and test existing artificial intelligence technologies and receive performance evaluation and test certification from the Korea Institute of Construction and Living Environment.
Targets of support are domestic small, medium-sized, and large companies that can demonstrate artificial intelligence technology in the fields of mobility, convenience of living, and disaster safety. They can participate individually or by forming a consortium.
Jeong Gwang-yong, head of the 4th Industry Division of the Gyeonggi Province Economic and Science Promotion Agency, said, “There are not many places nationwide that have the infrastructure to demonstrate the rapidly growing AI technology.” He added, “We will actively utilize the infrastructure in Pangyo Techno Valley to provide Gyeonggi residents with AI technology experience and AI technology.” “We will do our best to provide companies with opportunities to demonstrate their technology.”
