Naver Connect Foundation announced on the 7th that it is recruiting 250 trainees for the 4th class of ‘Boost Camp AI Tech’. The recruitment period is until August 1, and the training course will be held from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on weekdays for a total of 5 months, from September this year to February next year. Detailed information can be found on the camp website.
Boost Camp AI Tech, which was newly established last year, has produced a total of 671 graduates to date.
According to the foundation, Boost Camp, a software (SW) and AI talent training course, is characterized by focusing on the professional development of students. We operate two tracks, ‘Web/Mobile’ and ‘AI Tech’, and among them, we allow students to select the detailed track that is most in demand in the IT industry so that they can further develop expertise in the field of interest.
For web and mobile, you can select detailed tracks among △Web Full Stack, △Mobile iOS, and △Mobile Android, and for AI Tech, you can select detailed tracks from △Computer Vision, △Natural Language Processing, and △Recommendation System. The web and mobile track, which recently completed recruiting its 7th batch of graduates, has trained a cumulative 605 SW talents from 2016 to present.
At Boost Camp AI Tech, 82 of the most authoritative researchers and current and former engineers in the AI field participate as mentors, allowing students to gain practical experience developing AI services directly using real datasets. Boost Camp’s policy is to foster practical talent by completing projects with actual data that cannot be experienced during a bachelor’s degree. About 30 companies, including Naver, Kakao, and Line, participate in Company Day, a networking event where boost camp graduates and IT companies exchange each year, and 45% of job seekers are matched with employment.
Kim Jun-hee, Naver Connect Foundation Boost Camp AI Tech leader, said, “We plan to continue to develop educational programs to foster AI talent with both collaboration skills and practical experience.”
