Naver Cloud announced on the 26th that it will cooperate with Mirae Asset Securities to improve all-round customer experience, including the provision of investment content, call center, and branch management, by launching customer-facing services through the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud-based services.
Mirae Asset Securities is continuing cloud-based financial IT innovation, starting with the introduction of Naver Cloud high-performance computing (HPC) in 2018. As part of close cooperation, the two companies plan to expand open innovation by concluding a ‘cloud-based financial specialized AI service business agreement’.
At the signing ceremony held at the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul on the afternoon of the 25th, Naver Cloud business manager Kim Tae-chang, Mirae Asset Securities digital division CEO Ahn In-seong, Naver AI Lab senior leader Ha Jung-woo, and Clova CIC senior leader Seong Nak-ho attended the agreement to discuss research and development for financial-specialized AI services. We decided to do it together.
Mirae Asset Securities plans to launch the securities industry’s first AI customer service using Naver’s large-scale AI HyperCLOVA and Naver Cloud Platform. The plan is to quickly provide high-quality investment content to customers by using Hyperclova to translate overseas news and summarize research reports.
In addition, we plan to support flexible and rapid customer response by improving the performance of the STT system and chatbot service by incorporating CLOVA AiCall into the call center that used on-premise voice-to-text (STT) equipment. The branch document management process is improved through automation using Clova OCR. In addition, the two companies are pursuing cooperation in blockchain-related research.
“Mirae Asset Securities has been constantly working to improve customer experience through financial IT innovation, such as providing AI-based hyper-personalized customer service within the app,” said Ahn In-seong, head of digital division at Mirae Asset Securities. “Through this business agreement, we have made efforts to improve customer experience through AI and cloud.” “We expect that we will be able to provide high-quality, technology-based customer service.”
Kim Tae-chang, head of Naver Cloud’s cloud business, said, “It is meaningful to become Mirae Asset Securities’ business model research and development partner through this agreement,” and added, “Team Naver is a fusion of the technology and business know-how built by Naver Clova and Naver Cloud.” “We will actively utilize our capabilities to drive innovation in Mirae Asset Securities’ services,” he said.
