The Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as ‘Gyeonggi Innovation Center’), the operating organization of the Pangyo Startup Zone, announced on the 12th that it successfully concluded the ‘8th Startup 815 NEXT’ on the 11th.
‘Startup 815 NEXT’ is an IR program where the Gyeonggi Innovation Center discovers companies seeking to attract follow-up investment and actively matches fund investors in related industries. During the 7th edition this year, 22 companies participated, and follow-up meetings were held for more than 56% of the participating companies, so the results of attracting investment are expected in the future.
This session was conducted in the integrated field. Participating companies include ▲Our Sports Nation (LETUS, the first short-form SNS platform dedicated to sports) ▲Amicus Rex (electronic signature and fulfillment management service based on an AI automatic legal document creation system) ▲World CNS (artificial signature and fulfillment management service using panoramic technology and route tracking technology) Intelligent CCTV) three companies participated and proved the competitiveness of their business models and BMs.
VCs participated include Platinum Technology Investment, Kingsley Ventures, Alumni Partners, Hana Ventures, Yuanta Investment, and Seoul New Technology Investment Co., Ltd. We asked in-depth questions about the core technology, competitiveness, and scale-up strategy of the BM in question to look into investment possibilities.
An official at the Gyeonggi Innovation Center said, “In order for the Startup Zone to continue its role as a hub for attracting follow-up investment for startups, we plan to continue efforts to actively match companies with promising business models with professional investors in related industries.”
Startup 815 is held at each stage of startup growth in the Pangyo Startup Zone on the second, third, and fourth Thursday of every month, and plans to continuously discover promising companies to revitalize the investment ecosystem.
Meanwhile, the Startup Zone is Korea’s largest startup support cluster, established in 2017 by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to intensively foster promising startups in new industries, and operated by the Startup Promotion Agency and the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center.
