Nexon Co., Ltd. announced that its new multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) ‘HIT2’ ranked first in sales on Google Play in Korea.
Previously, ‘Hit 2’, which officially began service on the 25th of last month, achieved early results by ranking first in sales on the Apple App Store within 12 hours of opening. On Google Play, it entered the charts at number 6 in sales on the 27th and then continued to rise in ranking, reaching number 1 within a week of release.
In terms of popularity, it ranked first in the Apple App Store even before launch due to the pre-download effect, and also ranked first in Google Play on the 27th, showing users’ high interest in ‘Hit 2’.
‘Hit 2’ is the official sequel to ‘HIT’, Nexon’s representative mobile IP, and is reborn as an MMORPG genre, featuring large-scale field battles and siege warfare as the main content. The goal is to provide an expanded experience through participatory systems such as the ‘Coordinator’s Altar’, where users directly determine server rules.
Choi Seong-wook, head of Nexon Publishing Live, said, “As we receive a lot of support for Hit 2, we are also carefully checking user voices,” and added, “With the mindset of continuing to create games with users, we will do our best to create Hit 2 that can be enjoyed for a long time.” “I will do my best,” he said.
Meanwhile, Nexon’s development team is actively working to raise the satisfaction level of ‘Hit 2’ users by summarizing improvements based on user feedback from the day the service opened and immediately reflecting and guiding them.
