The Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the Gyeonggi Innovation Center), the operating organization of the Pangyo Startup Zone, announced that it successfully held the ‘7th Startup 815’ held at the Startup Zone on the 22nd.

‘Startup 815’ is an investment attraction program conducted every month by the Gyeonggi Innovation Center in collaboration with the Gyeonggi Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, Gachon University, and Suwon University. Every month, we plan to discover excellent startups in Gyeonggi-do and provide companies with opportunities to promote their businesses and attract investment.

The event on this day consisted of a total of three tracks: a global track for those wishing to advance into the global market and attract investment, a scale-up track for start-ups less than 7 years old, and a jump-up track for start-ups less than 3 years old. The companies selected for each track were promising companies in Gyeonggi-do and had IR pitching and networking sessions to attract investment.

Four companies selected for the K-Startup Grand Challenge participated in the global track. ▲Infinity Startup (next-generation innovative washing machine that does not require detergent) ▲Inovat (simple VAT refund service for tourists) ▲NaoNow (online learning platform connecting Korean students with top American universities) ▲Motions Cloud (MotionsCloud, an AI damage inspection engine for real estate and vehicles) participated and presented its core technology and vision through an English IR pitch.

Primer Sazze Partners and White Castle Partners participated as reviewers on-site, and online participation from overseas led to promising Korean startups such as Antler and Collaborative Fund. An overseas VC reviewer who discovers and invests in businesses participated.

Professional VC reviewers from Daol Investment, Capstone Partners, Platinum Technology Investment, Alumni Partners, and NextG Investment participated as reviewers.

In the jump-up track, ▲Kindsoft (PC login security solution ‘KIND LogVisor’ with blockchain-based Melty authentication) ▲Gobox (Gobox Quick, Gobox Driver App) ▲Lipidomia (human genes, proteins within cells) Delivery vehicle for delivery) ▲Metacle (industrial metaverse platform ‘MetaMarine’) announced.

Professional AC judges including Hyundai Investment Partners, Mashup Angels, Daedeok Venture Partners, Big Bang Angels, and S Cubic Angels participated as judges.

After the companies’ IR pitching, feedback from investment experts was provided, and follow-up networking continued for practical investment connections.

The Startup 815 program, operated by the Gyeonggi Innovation Center, is held every Thursday at the Pangyo Startup Zone under the subheadings of Startup 815, NEXT, and SEED for the purpose of discovering excellent companies at each company level and stimulating investment.

Meanwhile, the Startup Zone is Korea’s largest startup support cluster, established in 2017 by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to intensively foster promising startups in new industries, and operated by the Startup Promotion Agency and the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center.
