The Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as Gyeonggi Innovation Center) recently successfully completed the ‘2022 Gyeonggi Startup Flex – Large Enterprise Biz Matching (hereinafter referred to as Gyeonggi Startup Flex)’ event at the Pangyo Startup Zone.

Gyeonggi Startup Flex is a festival co-hosted by the Gyeonggi Small and Medium Venture Business Administration and Gyeonggi region startup-related organizations to promote entrepreneurship in the Gyeonggi region.

The central theme of this event, ‘Biz Matching’, is an event where startups that need collaboration with large and mid-sized companies gather in one place to discuss ways to link commercialization with technologies in demand from large and mid-sized companies. It is part of open innovation that the Gyeonggi Innovation Center focuses on.

The event was held on this day: ▲Jump Up Track, where the startup competition award ceremony, panel talks, and special lectures by celebrities were held; ▲Show Up Track, where the investment IR demo day and Next Unicorn Outstanding Manager Competition were held; ▲large and mid-sized companies and The Meet Up track, which conducted business matching for startups, was divided into three sessions.

Last October, the Gyeonggi Innovation Center recruited startups seeking business matching, and on the day of the event, 6 companies in demand (DB Non-life Insurance, Hansol PNS, Nice Engineering, HL Mando, Daekyo, Daewoong Pharmaceutical) and 26 promising startups were selected. Matching has been achieved.

A representative of the Gyeonggi Innovation Center said, “We will work to scale up startups so that this business matching is not just a one-time meeting, but can lead to follow-up connections.”

Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Startup Flex was conducted in collaboration with the Gyeonggi Small and Medium Business Administration as part of the 2022 Specialized Program for the Startup Leap Package Support Project of the Startup Promotion Agency of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center, the host organization, provides customized support such as commercialization support and mentoring for start-up companies.
