AhnLab announced that it will expand the scope of its online ‘Live Field Trip’ from mainly domestic youth and college students to overseas youth and college students.

Based on the stable performance of online ‘live field trips’ for over 12,000 domestic students over the past three years, the plan is to expand the field trips overseas.

AhnLab’s online ‘Live Field Trip’ is a field trip program in which participants participate in a real-time online broadcast by accessing a personal device (PC, mobile device) with an Internet connection. Tour participants can watch videos hosted by AhnLab staff on YouTube live, participate in real-time chat, and immediately answer any questions they have. Overseas youth and students (more than 10 people) who wish to participate in the field trip can apply by filling out the desired date, number of people, contact information, and language options (Korean, English).

Last week, AhnLab already conducted an online ‘live field trip’ for 17 cyber security students from The University of Western Australia participating in the Korea-Australia cooperation program. AhnLab experts provided lectures in English on ▲AhnLab’s global business ▲the latest global security trends ▲AhnLab’s investment areas, and a LAN cable tour of the office building to tour the work space from a first-person perspective was also conducted in English.

83.3% of University of Western Australia students who participated in the field trip satisfaction survey were ‘very satisfied’ with the program and 16.7% were ‘satisfied’. The students said that the best aspects of the program were “You can ask questions and receive answers in real time” and “You can vividly see the inside of AhnLab through a LAN cable tour of the building.”

Inchi-beom Inch, managing director of AhnLab’s communications office, said, “By taking advantage of the online ‘Live Tour’ program that can be conducted without location restrictions, we will also provide live tour opportunities to overseas students interested in the information security field.”
