Kakao Mobility has introduced an integrated ‘parking lot search’ function that can be used in one stop from parking lot search to recommendation, reservation, and payment with a single destination search on Kakao Navi.

The ‘Parking lot search’ integrated function integrates ‘Directions’ and ‘Parking’, which were separate services with separate access routes, into one, providing up to two optimal parking lots for each category that can be used by simply searching for destinations in Kakao Navi without a parking app. Automatically recommends. It was first introduced and operated at about 150 destination points, including near major subway stations in the metropolitan area, on the 30th of last month, and the application area is expected to gradually expand in the future.

The recommended classification items for the ‘Parking Lot Search’ integrated function are ▲parking lots with parking ticket reservations ▲cheap parking lots ▲public parking lots ▲parking lots with visit discounts, and can be selected through the filter function.

Kakao Mobility analyzed Kakao Navi big data to introduce the integrated ‘parking lot search’ function, and selected about 150 destinations with the highest search volume, where users experience inconvenience due to lack of attached parking lots, as application areas. As a result of examining each location, destinations near subway stations, which are citizens’ main means of transportation, were included, and all 51 stations on Seoul Metropolitan Subway Line 2, the only urban railway loop line in Korea, are included.

In the meantime, users can directly compare and analyze information for each parking lot by searching for a destination in ‘Kakao Navi’ and then searching around the parking lot located at the top, or separately search, reserve, and pay for parking lots around the destination in ‘Kakao T Parking’ and then return to the Kakao Navi home page. I moved and set the parking lot as my destination and received directions. Starting with the introduction of this new feature, it is expected that convenience of use will be greatly increased by minimizing the entry steps for each major service for car owners and providing recommendation functions.

In order to strengthen parking services, which are attracting attention as a complex business hub for future mobility, not only are sophisticated combinations with Kakao Navi operated, but also combined services such as valet, car wash, and electric vehicle charging that can be used while the vehicle is parked are also operated in some regions. In addition to the electric vehicle valet charging service that started pilot operation at Ediya Coffee Lab last September, ▲valet service at COEX, Everland, Gimpo Airport, etc. ▲valet and car wash combined service at 88CC, Forizon CC, East Valley CC, etc.

Ahn Gyu-jin, Vice President of Kakao Mobility Business Division, said, “As parking lots are attracting attention as key infrastructure for future mobility, Kakao Mobility will support private car users to design an efficient mobile life by connecting with various services and introducing new functions. “We will continue to strive to increase the convenience of car owners using mobility services by securing enhanced connectivity for each service.”

Meanwhile, Kakao Mobility is also holding a large-scale event for users to commemorate the introduction of this new feature. From this day to the 28th, a 3,000 won discount coupon for Kakao T parking will be given to the first 300,000 people on a first-come, first-served basis. The coupon is provided immediately when you click the coupon shortcut button in the notice regarding the ‘Parking lot search’ integrated function within the Kakao Navi app.
