The ‘Pangyo AI Camp’ competition, hosted by Gyeonggi Province and organized by the Gyeonggi Province Economic and Science Promotion Agency, is recruiting participants. The purpose of this competition is to exchange information through networking between artificial intelligence (AI) companies centered around Pangyo Techno Valley and to foster AI experts in Pangyo. Applications for participation can be made until Wednesday, August 25th. Anyone interested in the field of artificial intelligence can participate in the contest. However, the team leader must be a Pangyo employee. You must apply as a team of 2 to 5 people, and individual applicants will be assigned to a team through matching.
A variety of members, including employees in the Pangyo area, general employees, college students and graduate students, are expected to participate in the competition.
The competition will focus on images and natural language along with educational programs. AI Camp training will be held on August 28 (1 day), and the competition will be held for approximately 2 weeks from August 30 to September 10. The first to third place teams will each receive a prize of 500,000 won.
Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Province Economic and Science Promotion Agency will hold the Pangyo AI Challenge in October following the AI Camp.
The competition will be conducted through a qualitative evaluation that announces quantitative evaluation and results based on AI competency evaluation, and a prize of 10 million won will be awarded to the winning team.
Jeong Gwang-yong, head of the 4th Industry Division of the Gyeonggi Province Economic and Scientific Promotion Agency, said, “Through the AI Camp and AI Challenge competitions held around Pangyo Techno Valley, where AI companies with excellent technology gather, we have provided a venue for networking among many participants from Pangyo and domestically and abroad. “We plan to promote development by activating the local AI ecosystem,” he said.
