The Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as ‘Gyeonggi Innovation Center’), the startup zone operating organization, announced on the 27th that it had successfully concluded the ‘5th Startup 815’ held on the 26th.
This event was held online in accordance with the strengthening of government quarantine guidelines due to the spread of COVID-19, with a total of 13 companies and 14 investment companies participating.
Startup 815 is an investment briefing session for each field of innovative technology held monthly by the Gyeonggi Innovation Center in collaboration with other startup-related organizations. In addition to the Gyeonggi Innovation Center, Gyeonggi Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, Suwon University, and Gyeonggi Job Foundation are participating as host organizations. The 5th Startup 815 was held to support successful investment attraction of ICT startups and provide opportunities for communication and cooperation between entrepreneurs and investors.
Participating companies are ▲ ‘Scalas Korea’ (cloud-based research and academic writing tool) ▲ ‘M-Take’ (non-face-to-face AI unmanned store, human care system and core components) ▲ ‘Entrepreneur’ (prospective entrepreneur-franchise headquarters based on commercial analysis) A total of 13 companies, including ▲ ‘Bottle’ (2030 golf friend matching community app ‘Golf People’) ▲ ‘SMT’ (high-precision industrial computing device with IoT function), participated and introduced their core technologies and vision. .
A total of 14 investment companies, including JB Ventures, Science & Technology Holdings, Daekyo Investment, Korea Investment Partners, POSCO Technology Investment Co., Ltd., Hana Ventures, Mashup Angels, and Naver D2SF, participated in the review.
The event was divided into three channels using the online Zoom platform. The presentations by companies were followed by feedback from investment experts, and after the end of the event, it was followed by integrated online networking for all participants.
An official at the Gyeonggi Innovation Center said, “As a public accelerator and a leading startup hub in the region, the Gyeonggi Innovation Center will continue to do its best to establish a practical channel between startups and investment companies.”
Startup Zone Startup 815 is held on the last Thursday of every month. The 6th Startup 815 is scheduled to recruit start-ups in the small, medium, industrial, manufacturing, and smart farm sectors from August 30 to September 10 on the Events website.
Meanwhile, the Startup Zone was established in 2017 by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to intensively nurture promising entrepreneurs in new industries, and is the largest startup support cluster in Korea operated by the Startup Promotion Agency and the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center.
