City Sharing Platform (CEO Park Jin-seok) opened the second artificial intelligence (AI) unmanned store, Ice Go 24, at the U-Space Building in Pangyo Techno Valley, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do on the 19th.

This is the second store following the opening of Korea’s first AI unmanned convenience store, including an unmanned liquor store in Godeung-dong, Seongnam last May. The third branch will also open this month in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

The city sharing platform plans to open its 10th branch by the end of this year. The target area is Pangyo Valley, Gangnam in Seoul, Songdo in Incheon, and Jeju.

The reason Pangyo Valley was chosen as a strategic location for store expansion is because there are many companies, such as game conglomerates, that employ young people. 78% of employees at companies located in Pangyo are in their 20s or 30s.

Kim Young-jun (34), the owner of the second store, said, “I chose Ice Go 24 because I thought I could work two jobs as an AI unmanned store. Unlike self-service unmanned stores where customers pay by scanning barcodes, we have a completely unmanned automatic payment system. “I have faith,” he said.

The city sharing platform is expanding its market expansion strides after recently completing a simple payment partnership with Kakao and NHN.

On this day, the city sharing platform also announced the ‘Startup 7·3·3’ project related to two jobs. The plan is to invest 70 million won (excluding deposit) based on 10 pyeong, work 3 hours a day, and earn 3 million won in monthly profit.

Ice Go 24 convenience stores allow you to create a customized business in that you can select various alcoholic beverages, snacks, home-cooked meals, meal kits, cigarettes, etc. according to location characteristics and sell them unmanned for 24 hours.

Park Jin-seok, CEO of City Sharing Platform, said, “Our company’s unmanned sales network is based on the know-how approved by the government as a regulatory sandbox special company for unmanned alcohol sales technology.” He added, “We have solidified our position as a leading company in the unmanned sales field, especially the sales of small business owners.” “We will focus on expanding stores that will help increase growth.”
