Kakao announced on the 1st that it has released the entire session and schedule of the ‘if (kakao) 2021’ conference to be held from the 16th to the 18th of this month on its official website.
This conference, which will be held under the theme of ‘moving forward together for a better world’, will feature about 120 sessions focusing on various topics such as Kakao’s services, technology, business, partners, ESG, and ways of working. Anyone can participate in each session through the official website and Kakao TV without any restrictions on the number of people.
On the 16th, the first day of the conference, Kakao’s CPO and CBO will introduce the current status, strategy, and direction of major services and business. In addition, fellowship research results from the social contribution foundation Kakao Impact and five ESG sessions will be prepared, and various sessions in non-technical fields such as MMM, Kakao View, KakaoTalk Wallet, KakaoTalk Channel, and Subscription ON will be prepared. On the second day, the 17th, about 90 technical sessions will be released.
In addition to sessions focusing on technology introduction, unique format sessions such as interviews with developers, talks, and V-logs also attract attention. Stories about the adaptation period and development culture of junior developers after joining the company, the present and future of autonomous driving talked about by technical leaders and planning leaders inside the self-driving car that they directly participated in, and an empathetic talk show with developers discussing a variety of topics ranging from balance games, 7 It will feature heated talks about artificial intelligence with professors.
In addition, during the three days of the event, there will also be a code game where developers can directly participate and a live session where three agile coaches from Kakao will help resolve concerns or questions about how to work on the social audio platform ‘ummm’.
Kakao added a comment function to session videos to strengthen communication with participants, and in some sessions, it also operates Q&A sessions where questions and answers can be exchanged directly between presenters and participants.
