Naver Cloud supports small and medium-sized businesses in developing export channels for Software as a Service (SaaS) and selling open API services based on the API marketplace.

Naver Cloud announced that it will hold an online export consultation session from the 16th to the 18th in collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Large, Small and Medium Enterprises, and the Agricultural and Fishery Cooperation Foundation.

Companies participating in the consultation will receive one-to-one business matching opportunities with companies from two countries (three companies per country) from which they wish to export and receive country-specific market reports published by GS Global. Places where matching is possible include Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, which are Naver Cloud’s overseas regions.

Naver Cloud is promoting collaboration with influencers and hosting webinars as a way to strengthen small and medium-sized SaaS promotional marketing tools. We plan to support digital content production and local marketing of five companies with excellent solutions.

This year, Naver Cloud is also working with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to operate an API marketplace that allows small and medium-sized businesses to earn profits from open API sales. We help promote all participating companies and provide a benefit of 3 million won worth of credit to companies that use Naver Cloud.

To promote expansion into Southeast Asia, an online hackathon will also be held for local startups, developers, and college students. Applications will begin accepting applications next month, mainly in Singapore, and the finals and awards will be held in January next year.

For the online hackathon, 10 out of 50 open APIs listed in the marketplace are selected as representatives. Participating teams must select and use one of the 10 open APIs selected as a condition for participating in the hackathon. The 10 companies that provided APIs selected as representatives will act as mentors for the participating teams.

Naver Cloud provides 3 million won worth of credits, training, and consulting to all hackathon participating teams to utilize Naver Cloud. We support the production of promotional videos for companies that provide representative APIs, and introduce companies and APIs through the hackathon website.

Naver Cloud is in charge of technical support for ‘SaaS N’, a consortium launched with the Korea Software Industry Association, Two Global Center, GS Global, and Yozma Group to foster global SaaS companies in each industry. Since last year, a security certification consultation support program has been in operation to increase the competitiveness of companies in public SaaS.
