[Pangyo Tech] Kakao Mobility begins rental car brokerage service in December

Kakao Mobility and the Korea Rental Car Business Association announced on the 6th that they signed a business agreement on rental car platform brokerage services for cooperation in the mobility business.

Under this agreement, Kakao Mobility will provide brokerage services through the Kakao T platform using rental cars owned by small and medium-sized rental car operators.

This service aims to provide a service that allows you to rent a car by easily selecting the desired car model regardless of the region and prevents consumer damage such as excessive repair costs in the event of a traffic accident.

Prior to the rental car service, the two organizations decided to form a win-win council to revitalize the business, including standardizing the price and quality of platform brokerage services and discovering new win-win models to strengthen platform competitiveness.

The win-win council will be responsible for collecting suggestions from small and medium-sized businesses regarding the overall business, including platform fees and commission increases.

Ahn Gyu-jin, Vice President of Kakao Mobility, said, “Through this business agreement, we will expand communication channels with rental car operators and listen carefully to the voices of rental car operators working hard on the front lines.” He added, “So that rental car operators and mobility platform companies can grow together.” “I will try my best,” he said.
