Econect is a start-up founded under the vision of ‘converting petroleum-based plastic to eco-friendly materials’. Recently, it has attracted impact investment through Yuhan-Kimberly Green Impact Fund, and provides data related to eco-friendly materials and ESG through its web solution ‘Station Zero’. It provides a series of solutions from product development to carbon emission reports for customers who wish to develop eco-friendly products in all industries, including companies, brands, and franchises, and has cooperated with 1 clients over the past year.
At this exhibition, we plan to introduce the ‘Station Zero’ solution and increase contact points with potential customers through curation demonstrations.
‘Station Zero’, a solution for converting petroleum-based plastics to eco-friendly materials, can be used to develop eco-friendly products in various industries. Specifically, its main functions are ▲selection of optimal materials through data-based curation, ▲providing an all-in-one solution from curation to product development, and ▲providing carbon emission reports and related ESG information.
It helps customers focus on the essence of the product without experiencing difficulties in the process of switching to eco-friendly products, and provides a report on the environmental impact of the switch after the fact, which can be used for various purposes such as business reporting, marketing, and ESG reports.
An official from Econect said, “As interest in environmental issues increases day by day, the use of eco-friendly products is expanding, but managers of various companies say, ‘There is no dedicated department, so the needs are very large, but it is difficult to successfully convert them.’” As a result, people who worked in the eco-friendly material industry came together to develop a solution for Station Zero.”
He continued, “Before the official launch of ‘Station Zero’, we are conducting a beta service for existing customers and customers visiting the exhibition. “We are focusing on development to improve the functionality of the solution and plan to launch it at the end of this year,” he said. “Initially, we developed the service targeting corporate managers who were Econect’s main customers, but we have now expanded our customer base to include companies, brands, and cafes. “We are improving our solutions for various consumer groups, including franchises,” he added.
There are currently 11 projects being carried out by Econect, and there are more than 15 clients involved in the projects. More than 10 types of products are being developed and delivered to customers, including pipes for mechanical equipment made of biomass PP, marine biodegradable bottles and bags, BOPE vacuum films, and biodegradable toothbrushes.
