Wolgwang Brewery (CEO Jeong In-seon) participated in the ’12 International Council for Small and Medium Business World Congress (ICSB World Congress)’ business showcase held at the Kimdaejung Convention Center in Gwangju for three days from Wednesday the 14th to Friday the 3th.

Wolgwang Brewery is a young company that produces Gwangju’s first local specialty liquor using Gwangju rice, with no sweeteners or additives. CEO Jeong In-seon said, “Wolgwang Brewery does not simply sell alcohol, but sells emotional time filled with romance and inspiration. Wolgwang Brewery is a brewery for all artists in the world.”

Wolgwang Brewery explains that ‘art’ is the entire process of approaching ‘self-ness’. In addition, Wolgwang Brewery said that it is conducting a campaign to find, support, and cheer for Moonlight Brewing artists (daltists) every month.

CEO Jeong said, ‘We want to convey our message that anyone can be an artist in their life.’ “We hope that Wolgwang Brewery’s small campaign culture will be a positive stimulus to someone’s life, and we will continue to look for ‘daltists.’ “We will be together,” he said, expressing his ambition.

CEO Jeong In-seon entered the 2022th class of the Gwangju Youth Entrepreneurship Academy in 12 and graduated with honors. Meanwhile, he is said to have focused on developing traditional liquor with brewer Jang Jun-hyuk (CEO of Yodamen). He added that after diligent research, he launched Gwangju’s first local specialty liquor, ‘Wol Gwangju (distilled soju)’, and Gwangju’s first premium makgeolli, ‘Dalmak’, in 2023.

The distilled soju ‘Wolgwangju’ and ‘Wolgwangju 42’ presented at this business showcase are said to have a clean, soft taste with a pleasant grain aroma and subtle vanilla scent that fills the entire mouth and goes well with a variety of foods.

Wolgwang Brewery’s first premium makgeolli, ‘Dalmak’, combines the refreshing taste of fruits such as vanilla, green apple, and melon with the subtle sweetness unique to rice, and has a heavy ‘body’ just like the unwatered makgeolli solution and a smooth downing sensation. It is a characteristic.

CEO Jeong In-seon expressed his ambition, saying, “I will work hard to promote and research and develop our excellent traditional liquor so that it can be treated as well as sake, wine, and whiskey in the global market.”
