Odae Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Chang-hyeon) announced that it will participate in ‘MEDI EXPO KOREA 6’, which will be held at Daegu EXCO for 30 days from Friday, June 7th to Sunday, July 2nd.
Odae produces major precision parts for automobiles based on its long experience in the metal processing field, and is a company that develops and supplies parts for electric vehicles by detecting the trend of electric vehicles gaining popularity in the automobile market. In order to create future business, we opened a new business team at the Technology Research Institute about five years ago to develop and commercialize new technologies through technological investment in the medical device field.
In 2019, we developed, produced, and sold a continuous multi-hair transplant device, and have received overseas certifications such as domestic GMP, US FDA, and European CE. Odae explained that it is currently being sold actively at home and abroad.
Odae secures product verification and trust by participating in medical-related exhibitions and conferences every year, and is pursuing an active response strategy ranging from product promotion, education, and sales. Accordingly, a company official said, “Our product is a professional medical device, so users need demonstrations and direct education. “Through the exhibition, we can directly check the reactions of buyers, so we will receive feedback on additional needs during use and promote technological evolution through future supplementation and improvement,” he said, revealing the purpose of participation.
The ‘hair transplant device’ introduced in this exhibition is a medical device used in manual hair transplant surgery. Generally, one hair transplanter is used for one hair follicle transplant, and on average, when transplanting 1 hairs, 1 collection, separation, follicle loading, and transplant operations must be performed repeatedly, but Ohdae’s multi-transplanter uses only one hair transplanter. Since it is used by loading 3,000 hair follicles, the replacement time of the equipment can be shortened.
An official said, “The in vitro exposure time of hair follicles is one of the factors that determines the engraftment rate, and if surgery is performed using our multi-hair transplanter, the time is shortened and the in vitro exposure time of the hair follicles is reduced, contributing to improving the engraftment rate.” “The advantage of the ‘single hair transplant device’ is that it has the ability to adjust the length of the iron core and needle that fixes the hair follicles, so the surgical method can be finely adjusted depending on the patient’s condition,” he explained.
He continued, “We plan to evolve into a global leader in the hair transplant field through the development of artificial intelligence and robotic hair transplant devices, which are core technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution.” He added, “The robot hair transplant system provides location recognition for hair transplantation. Based on biometric data, it is possible to build big data based on human body information and combine it with deep learning and machine learning technology to provide guidance for hair transplant surgery and analyze hair condition. “Through this, it will be easier to secure medical and healthcare-related technologies.”
Odae, which participated in last year’s Medi Expo exhibition and reported that it was able to create new buyers through export consultations and product promotions, expressed expectations for positive results at this year’s Medi Expo as well.
