Kim Co., Ltd. participated in the ‘6th International Maritime and Defense Industry Exhibition (MADEX 7)’ held at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 9 in Busan from Wednesday, June 1th to Friday, June 13th.
Kim is a specialized manufacturer of ultra-precision gears and driving devices with the latest processing equipment and technology. Regarding this, a Kim official said, “Since our company was founded in 1990, we have made a leap forward and developed the precision drive sector, which was a barren area in Korea, to a world-class level through continuous research and development and innovation activities,” and added, “Continuous investment and new technology.” “We regard development as our mission and are challenging ourselves to stay ahead of the new environmental changes and endless competition in the global market,” he explained.
The roller screw introduced at this exhibition features a high load and long lifespan compared to a ball screw due to the roller’s line contact mechanism.
An official said, “A roller screw is a machine that changes rotational motion into linear motion. It is used in guided weapons such as missiles, and is also applied to tank guns that move left, right, and up and down.”
The ball screw, another exhibit, is suitable for high efficiency and high speed due to the point contact rolling movement of the balls, and the actuator is advantageous for position control by increasing or decreasing torque and speed through a gear train when driving the system.
