    Brightcove participates in KOBA 2023… Announcing a large number of streaming and advertisement providing solutions selected by global media content companies!

    Brightcove (CEO Marc Debevoise) will hold ‘KOBA 5 (16st International Broadcasting, Media, Sound and Lighting Exhibition)’ held at COEX, Seoul from Tuesday, May 19th to Friday, May 2023th. announced that they would participate.

    Brightcove is a global company that develops and provides streaming solutions with excellent stability. We operate in over 60 countries through an intelligent video platform, supporting smooth internal communication for our customers. In particular, based on the industry’s highest level of uptime and excellent scalability, it has been honored with being selected twice in the engineering category at the Emmy Awards, the most prestigious event in the American broadcasting industry.

    At this exhibition, Brightcove plans to showcase a variety of streaming solutions produced in-house and jointly developed with partners.

    Last March, Brightcove launched ‘Brightcove Ad Monetization’, a customized service that expands the reach of advertisements included in content and thereby increases the profitability of media companies. This service, provided through a strategic partnership with the world’s largest advertising platform ‘Magnite’, provides an end-to-end solution-based advertising monetization service to generate additional profits from advertising strategies. It includes client-side ad insertion and server-side ad insertion functions for players in the web environment, as well as iOS, Android, and Connected TV (Smart TV) platforms.

    In addition, Brightcove also introduces the QoE analysis and insight solution launched in April this year. This is a service that helps media content providers measure the quality of streaming video content transmission and the impact on user experience. Based on machine learning, the goal is to handle and process RAW data such as in-depth viewer participation data and retention indicators, and provide the results in various forms of insight.

    Additionally, in the same month, Brightcove signed a strategic partnership with ‘Frequency’, a cloud-based video platform that supports linear channel production by content providers. This integrates Frequency’s capabilities into Brightcove’s video platform, allowing customers to seamlessly create, launch, and manage FAST channels, helping to expand content reach and increase profitability.

    Meanwhile, the KOBA exhibition, co-hosted by Korea E&X and the Korea Broadcasting Engineers Association, was held for the first time in 1991 to improve domestic broadcasting culture and develop the media, sound, and lighting industries, and is celebrating its 31st anniversary this year. KOBA 2023, held at COEX Halls A, C, and D, presents next-generation broadcasting services and the future of the media, sound, and lighting industries. In particular, during the exhibition period, it provides an opportunity to acquire professional information related to broadcasting and sound through the International Broadcasting Technology Conference hosted by the Korea Broadcasting Engineers Association and the sound-related professional technology seminar hosted by the Korea Sound Artists Association and the Acoustical Society of Korea.
