GlucoSound is a biotech product developed with semiconductor technology and aims to measure blood sugar in a wearable form. The company explained that in the future, it will expand to measure other biological substances in the body.

CEO Kang said, “Our goal is to measure biological substances such as cholesterol, creatinine, and bilirubin. We can measure the blood in the blood vessels without collecting any blood at all.” Since it is a non-invasive product, it is measured using ultrasonic waves generated by shooting light with a laser. So, the advantage is that the patient does not experience any pain or discomfort.”

He continued, “Using this CES as a stepping stone, we plan to enter developing countries suffering from diabetes complications, including the United States, which accounts for 40% of the diabetes-related medical market,” and added, “Our product is a wearable personal device. Accordingly, we plan to produce and commercialize low-cost portable products along with wearable products,” he said.
