[Las Vegas (USA) = AVING News] Armored Fresh Technology (AFT) participated in ‘CES 1’ held in Las Vegas, USA for a total of 5 days from January 8th (Thursday) to 4th (Sunday, local time). , introduced ice cream made from its vegetable emulsified protein. The dessert was introduced as a demonstration of alternative protein technology that reproduces casein, an emulsified protein found only in animal milk, with plant materials.

AFT is creating ingredients and technologies that will transform food culture towards sustainability, one of its key goals for the future. We are currently focusing on technological approaches to create plant-based substitutes for casein protein, and we expect to develop casein protein substitutes made with only water and oxygen in the future.

AFT established a US corporation in New York and simultaneously attracted $100 million in seed investment from Forward Deployed VC, which has invested in IPO companies such as Palantir and Lyft. Through this support, we accelerated the development of vegetable emulsified proteins and applied for a patent in the United States to protect the technology.

AFT emphasized, “Our vegetable emulsified protein requires only oxygen and water, so we will be able to make various dairy products such as cheese, ice cream, and yogurt on Mars.” In particular, it satisfies all requirements for water solubility, emulsification, and non-GMO, and contains more than 50% of essential amino acids, making it different from existing vegetable proteins in terms of function and nutrition. At the same time, it has almost no taste, making it possible to maintain the flavor of food. It was said that it was. The key is to extract proteins from carefully selected microorganisms and give the microorganisms the function to produce vegetable emulsified proteins.

AFT develops and produces non-animal proteins that can be applied to all products containing animal proteins, and is expanding its application area to plant-based vitamins, minerals, and functional proteins.

AFT’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) said, “Humanity is facing changes we have never faced before, such as what we will eat in the future. This is why our company develops plant-based emulsified proteins without animal or GMO ingredients. “In particular, this substitute can be applied to all dairy products such as ice cream, cheese, yogurt, and powdered milk, so we expect to have the opportunity to collaborate with global companies seeking change.”

Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition, is an exhibition where you can understand the trends of the global home appliance industry at a glance. Hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), it is held every January in Las Vegas, USA. AVING News, which has covered CES for 1 consecutive years, has reported CES news around the world every year since 17, and has been selected as the ‘BEST OF CES’, which selects the best innovative products and technologies, and the ‘BEST OF’, which selects domestic innovative companies. ‘MADE IN KOREA’ was held. In addition, CES on-site issues were vividly conveyed through ‘AVING LIVE’.
