Digital Hub Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Woo-hyun) participated in ‘KOBA 5 (16st International Broadcasting, Media, Sound and Lighting Exhibition)’ held at COEX in Seoul from Tuesday, May 19 to Friday, May 2023. .
Digital Hub is a company that has provided solutions such as HW, SW, and content used by major customers, game developers, IT specialized companies, and general businesses. To this end, the company has formed partnerships with leading domestic and foreign companies such as Autodesk, Adobe, and Microsoft, and the company explains that it helps build a business environment and optimize work processes through consulting and technical support optimized for the customer environment.
At this exhibition, Digital Hub introduced ‘SMODE’, a real-time synthesis software developed by France’s ‘SMODE Tech’, and the content production process using it. SMODE provides comprehensive functions such as 2D and 3D video production and compositing, previs, video mapping, cueing, XR, and virtual production based on real-time compositing. At the same time, it supports intuitive operation through layer-based UI and timeline functions rather than nodes or codes.
Additionally, SMODE has the performance and components to handle visuals in any type of show or installation, regardless of size or complexity. It is a unique platform that enables a variety of projects, from building projection mapping to creating new interactive experiences for hundreds of audiences, and has recently been said to be attracting significant interest from industry experts.
In particular, it is possible to produce and direct extended reality (XR) content that bridges the gap between virtuality and reality. SMODE’s XR technology enhances the production environment by coordinating LED, real-time content, and camera tracking, and also enables the combination of industry-leading 3D engines such as UNREAL ENGINE and Notch with SMODE’s own engine.
A Digital Hub official said, “SMODE is software that makes the dreams of experts in all media and entertainment fields a reality, providing an ideal working environment regardless of the size of the project.” He added, “SMODE will continue to provide new features for content creators and stage designers. “We will continue to update and pursue close cooperation with other global solution companies in the process of developing cutting-edge graphics products.”
