[Las Vegas (USA) = AVING News] ADT, a company specializing in home and business security solutions, attended ‘CES 1’ held in Las Vegas, USA for a total of 5 days from January 8th (Thursday) to 4th (Sunday, local time). They participated and unveiled the intelligent autonomous security solution brand ‘EvoGuard’.
Evoguard is an autonomous security solution and service that focuses on responding to the high turnover rate and ongoing labor shortage occurring in the security personnel recruitment market while streamlining the cost of maintaining a company’s security program.
ADT’s Evoguard service includes autonomous humanoid robots and drones for comprehensive surveillance in various commercial areas, and is also characterized by the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) technologies. ADT explains that through this, it is possible to efficiently automate 24-hour patrols and routine tasks, increase the level of real-time surveillance, and reduce labor costs for hiring guards.
In addition, when an unidentified person without access rights approaches, we plan to immediately photograph the subject and send a faster alarm to managers and residents, and implement a rapid response to high-risk factors and scenarios that occur thereafter at a level that does not threaten human life. This Evoguard solution is being developed with the goal of commercialization this year.
The autonomous humanoid, the core hardware for Evoguard, was developed in collaboration with Halodi Robotics, a robotics company based in Norway. It is equipped with communication functions for autonomous patrol and two-way communication in commercial facilities, and is also capable of interacting with other security personnel who cooperate during work.
Furthermore, hands with sophisticated joints can inspect and remove hazards or obstacles, and perform more delicate movements such as opening doors or operating an elevator. In addition, omni-directional capture and filming of the patrol area through a 360° camera system, and self-docking and charging functions at designated stations are also applied.

The autonomous indoor drone being developed together is a commercial facility patrol product being developed in collaboration with Israel’s Indoor Robotics. It is possible to program a destination and set an autonomous patrol route, and it is also possible to program warnings through external sensors to respond in near real time to accidents that may occur during investigation flights.
At the same time, the onboard thermal imaging camera, person detection function, object avoidance and analysis can warn of potential dangers, and an always-on video feed function is applied to provide 360° surveillance at all times, regardless of whether it is in motion or not.
“By integrating the innovative technologies launched under the Evoguard brand into their security programs, companies and organizations can build safer and more efficient security systems,” said Ed Barco, vice president of new technologies at ADST. “In particular, humanoid robots and autonomous indoor drones “Its strength is that it can not only perform general security tasks such as observation and reporting, but also carry out essential responses in emergency situations, such as securing important data without harming human life,” he added.
He continued, “Evoguard is a ‘game changer’ in the security solution industry. He added, “It will be a solution that can effectively deal with the ongoing difficulties in recruiting and maintaining security personnel in the related industry.”

Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition, is an exhibition where you can understand the trends of the global home appliance industry at a glance. Hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), it is held every January in Las Vegas, USA. AVING News, which has covered CES for 1 consecutive years, has reported CES news around the world every year since 17, and has been selected as the ‘BEST OF CES’, which selects the best innovative products and technologies, and the ‘BEST OF’, which selects domestic innovative companies. ‘MADE IN KOREA’ was held. In addition, CES on-site issues were vividly conveyed through ‘AVING LIVE’.
