LED Soft Co., Ltd. (CEO Cho Sang-soo) will participate in the ‘2023 World IT Show (WIS 2023)’ held at COEX, Seoul from Wednesday, April 19th to Friday, April 21st and introduce IoT sterilizing lighting.
LED Soft is a representative technology start-up company in Busan that mainly develops and produces sterilizing lighting. It holds 5 patents related to sterilization, has KC safety certification, KCL nationally recognized agency sterilizing power test certification, and has received numerous awards. After the launch of ‘Rapavi Sterilization Lighting’ in November 2022, it was installed and verified in cultural facilities, religious facilities, schools, etc., and is achieving success by signing three nationwide agency contracts and an export MOU contract. In addition, the company succeeded in developing a prototype of IoT sterilizing lighting, and is growing into a company specializing in sterilization and hygiene through continuous research and development.
The main product on display at this exhibition is IoT sterilizing lighting, which is a product that applies IoT human body detection control function to Rapavie sterilizing lighting. It was introduced as a light that can sterilize 99.9% of viruses and harmful bacteria using the LED light wavelength. It has the effect of reducing power consumption due to IoT human body detection operation, and has the advantage of being able to collect and utilize user data through Bluetooth communication. In addition, the small size allows for easy installation, increasing convenience, and the official explains that it has competitive advantages in price competitiveness and power consumption.
LED Soft said, “After the launch of Lafavi sterilizing lighting, in the process of installing it in eight restrooms at the Busan Cultural Center, automatic on/off control through the human body detection function was more energy efficient than controlling with a simple switch. There were several opinions that it would be economical. Focusing on the direction of collecting and utilizing user data by combining not only simple human body detection but also IoT, R&D was carried out through government support projects. As a result, we succeeded in developing a prototype of IoT sterilizing lighting in March of this year,” he said, explaining the development background.
Accordingly, LEDSoft is planning to mass produce the IoT sterilizing light developed as a prototype in the second half of 2023, and will begin R&D of ‘IoT AI air purifying sterilizing light’ (tentative name), which is a fusion of IoT + AI + air purifying + sterilizing lighting, in the first half of this year. The goal is to launch it in the first half of 2024. In the future, the plan is to form an optimal portfolio through the development of products that combine sterilization technology and IoT functions.
LED Soft, which signed an MOU on an annual export contract worth $1 million with a British agency last February, is currently pursuing CE certification for export to the UK and Europe. In addition, we are conducting overseas market research and buyer discovery in collaboration with the Korea International Trade Association and Pukyong National University Export Support Project (YTP).
Meanwhile, the ‘World IT Show’, a one-stop platform for digital transformation, is a representative exhibition leading the next-generation high-tech industry. The 2023 World IT Show, with the slogan ‘Changing our life, K-Digital’, will feature △AI, IoT & ICT convergence services △Digital Twin & Metaverse △Smart Living and Healthcare △Robotics The latest technologies and products in the fields of △future mobility such as autonomous driving and UAM, and △blockchain & security will be displayed and introduced.
