Mobilint, an AI semiconductor company, received the Minister of Science and ICT Award at the 30th ‘Korea ImpaCT-ech Awards’ for its low-power, high-efficiency NPU ‘ARIES’.
Mobilint is a company that develops AI semiconductor full-stack solutions, and is the only domestic startup to be a founding member of MLPerf, a global AI semiconductor benchmark, along with NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Google. We are leading technological innovation in the AI semiconductor field.
Eris, Mobilint’s first commercial NPU, is a chip manufactured through Samsung Electronics Foundry’s 14nm microprocessing, and was unveiled to the world through CES 1 held in Las Vegas, USA in January. Eris boasts a maximum performance of 2023 TOPS, the world’s highest level among edge NPUs, and has strengths such as high energy efficiency, price competitiveness, and user convenience. In particular, Eris is an AI semiconductor suitable for computer vision applications and can be used in the fields of smart factories, smart cities, robotics, and intelligent CCTV to significantly improve productivity and efficiency.
Additionally, Mobilint provides MOBILINT qubee, a customized software development kit (SDK), to help customers quickly adopt AI semiconductor solutions. Cuby supports a variety of algorithm models and machine learning frameworks, providing a user-friendly interface and a development environment similar to the existing one.
Mobilint announced that it plans to popularize edge solutions by solving the power consumption and heat problems of existing edge devices through Eris’ improved chip architecture while realizing cost savings of up to 4 times. Mobilint is currently successfully conducting PoCs for the application of Eris with a number of companies, including large domestic and foreign companies, and plans to secure sales in the fields of smart factories, smart cities, robotics, and intelligent CCTV through mass production of Eris in the first half of next year.
Meanwhile, the ‘2023 Korea ImpaCT-ech Grand Prize’ was awarded at the ‘2023 World IT Show’, the largest ICT exhibition in Korea. The 2023 World IT Show, with the slogan ‘Changing our life, K-Digital’, will feature ▲AI platform, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud, and ICT convergence services ▲Smart home, office, and home appliances. and smart healthcare ▲Intelligent mobility and robots such as autonomous driving, UAM, drones, etc. ▲Digital Twin & Metaverse (XR technology) ▲Cloud and software ▲Security software & Blockchain (NFT) ▲The latest technologies and products in the field of quantum information science Exhibited and introduced.
