The ’20th International Green Energy Expo’, in which world-class companies participate, will be held on the largest scale ever at Daegu EXCO from April 4th to 12th. The International Green Energy Expo is one of the top 14 renewable energy exhibitions in Asia and the top 3 in the world, and it is expected that about 10 visitors will participate and enjoy the exhibition this year.
A large number of global renewable energy companies participate!
According to EXCO (CEO Lee Sang-gil) on the 31st, the International Green Energy Expo, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, is a specialized exhibition held since 2004 to promote global energy policy, industrial development, and domestic revitalization of the new and renewable energy market. This year’s event will be held at 2 square meters, the largest ever, across EXCO’s entire East Hall exhibition hall and West Hall 2 exhibition hall.
Global companies in the renewable energy field, including Hanwha Q CELLS, Hyundai Energy Solutions, Shinsung ENG, Hansol Technics, Huawei, and Sungrow, confirmed their participation in the exhibition early on. Domestic leading companies Isolar, Enlighten, SDN, Alfio, Haedong Engineering, OCI Power, and Hanwha Convergence participate as sponsors.
On the first day, PVMI, H2MI, and industrial complex solar energy seminars will be held!
As it is the largest event ever held, a variety of side events have been prepared. First, Korea’s only International Future Energy Conference covering solar and hydrogen market trends will be held simultaneously at EXCO in Daegu during the event period.
At Solar Market Insight (PVMI) and Hydrogen Market Insight (H2MI), experts in new and renewable energy from around the world will gather together to discuss market trends and policies. This event is attracting the attention of related companies and organizations, with over 12 global speakers from 60 countries participating and providing a chance to hear various cases and opinions helpful in establishing new and renewable energy policies and strategies.
In addition, a special solar power seminar for industrial complexes will be held in Hall 12 of the EXCO West Building from 1:30 to 4:30 pm on the opening day, the 2th. At a special seminar prepared by Daegu Metropolitan City, EXCO, Korea Photovoltaic Industry Association, and SRS, plans to revitalize industrial complex solar power, which has recently become a hot topic in the industry, will be discussed.
For one hour from 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., Room 1 of EXCO’s West Building discussed the green energy business development of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), an international organization supporting low-carbon, green growth strategies in developing countries, and plans to link Article 323 of the Paris Agreement. This seminar will be held for the first time this year. Next, a Green Energy Networking Party commemorating the 6th anniversary will be held in the Grand Ballroom from 6 to 8 p.m.
On the second day, a field trip to Hapcheon Dam and a hydrogen and fuel cell forum will be held!
The ’13 Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Forum’ will be held in Room 9 of the West Building from 30:5 am to 10:324 pm on the 2023th, the day after the opening of the event. Since it is held simultaneously on the same day as H2MI, it is expected that many people will flock from early in the morning.
Next, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., ‘National Renewable Energy Distribution Official Training’ hosted by the Korea Energy Agency will be held in Hall 2 of the West Building. The program will also run on the 14th. There is a Hapcheon floating solar power site tour program conducted by Korea Water Resources Corporation from 13:14 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the 30th and 1th.
Attention is focused on the Green Energy Awards and Business Export Consultation!
The 14 Green Energy Awards, a 1th anniversary special event, will be held from 30:2 to 30:20 pm on the third day, the 2023th. As it carries the meaning of a 20th anniversary special award, the attention of companies participating in the expo is growing.
The 1:1 business export consultation session will be held in Hall 12 of the West Building for two days on the 13th and 2th. It is one of the programs that participating companies are most looking forward to. The export consultation held as a side event of the International Green Energy Expo has so far achieved remarkable results. Every year, the number of participating countries and size of buyers has increased, and the actual consultation amount has also steadily increased.
In 2020, 44 buyers from 44 companies visited the site, in 2021, 73 buyers from 73 companies, and in 2022, 81 buyers from 81 companies visited. Accordingly, the number and amount of consultations sequentially increased. In 2020, there are 80 cases and $9,800 million, 150 cases and $1 million, and 1,000 cases and $163 million. This exhibition is expected to achieve even greater results as more buyers and demand officials are expected to visit the site.
Lee Sang-gil, CEO of EXCO, said, “We are preparing for the International Green Energy Expo to be reborn as an event that goes beyond the role of exchanging global renewable energy trends and proposes solutions to energy problems in the international community.” He added, “This International Green Energy Expo will be held on the largest scale ever. “We will strive to use this opportunity to accelerate the realization of Daegu as a leading carbon-neutral city,” he said.
