    Heo Young-joon, team leader of the Korea Energy Agency, was the first speaker at the ’12 Solar Market Insight (PVMI 2023)’ held at EXCO (CEO Lee Sang-gil) in Daegu Metropolitan City on the 2023th. 

    In a lecture on the theme of ‘agricultural and rural solar power support system and current situation’, team leader Huh said, “Agricultural solar power is a project that combines solar power generation and cultivation on farmland owned by farmers, and rural solar power is a project for farmers (fishers) , Livestock) is a business to install solar power generation facilities” and explained the definition of agricultural solar power. 

    Following this, team leader Huh went on to say: △ Conditions for supplying agricultural solar power △ Regulations related to installation of solar power facilities △ Current Farmland Act △ Current status of related laws and regulations △ Supply performance by facility △ Financial support for installation funds △ Types of solar power modules for farming △ Construction standards for agricultural solar power introduced etc. 

    Team Manager Heo said, “While farming-type solar power is a solution that can increase farmers’ profits, it is slow to spread due to obstacles.” , the possibility of raising environmental issues, and the incompleteness of construction guidelines are the reasons.” 

    In addition, team leader Heo Young-joon said, “In order to spread agricultural solar power, the temporary use permit period must be increased from 8 years to ’10 years + 10 years’ or more than 20 years, and an incentive policy is also needed.” It is also important to nurture related industries to improve farming convenience.”
