Professor Lee Sang-ho of Yeungnam University presented on ‘Agricultural solar power economic feasibility analysis’ at the ’12 Solar Power Market Insight (PVMI 2023)’ agricultural solar power market trend session held at EXCO (CEO Sang-gil Lee) in Daegu on the 2023th.
Professor Lee Sang-ho used various types and costs as basic data for more accurate economic analysis. Prior to the study, he applied 12 types considering solar modules, inverters, and construction methods, and conducted a study reflecting the benefits and productivity reductions for rice, grapes, and fall cabbage in terms of revenue and cost.
According to research results, when rice was grown under agricultural solar power, an annual income of approximately 600 million won was generated based on 1,983 pyeong (373㎡), and when grapes were grown, an annual income of approximately 600 million won was generated based on 1 pyeong. happened. It was found that when growing cabbage, an annual income of about 600 million won was generated based on 573 pyeong.
In addition, Professor Lee Sang-ho also presented research results, including economic feasibility analysis under regional development time and sensitivity analysis of changes in loan amount (differences by crop). Professor Lee emphasized, “We also discovered the effect of reducing greenhouse gases through agricultural solar power operation. The power generation based on 100 kW was 131,400 KWh, and we achieved a greenhouse gas reduction of 60.37 tCO2-eq (equivalent tons of carbon dioxide).” .
