Korea East-West Power Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Young-moon) participated in the 12th International Green Energy Expo held at the special exhibition hall on the first floor of the west building of Daegu Expo (EXCO) for three days from Wednesday the 14th to Friday the 3th, and held the ‘Industrial Complex Solar’ event. We operate a ‘light special hall’.
East-West Power is the only public power generation company that operates a special solar power hall for industrial complexes and introduces solar power models on industrial complex roofs together with seven small and medium-sized companies, including modules, roof structures, and installation companies.
Solar power in industrial complexes has a supply potential of 50GW, and among renewable energy sources, it has the advantage of having fewer restrictions in the areas of site acquisition, processing, civil complaints, environment, and system. In addition, rapid expansion of renewable energy development can contribute to responding to RE100, strengthening ESG corporate competitiveness, improving local energy independence, reducing greenhouse gases, and revitalizing the local economy.
East-West Power analyzes the power usage, power use patterns, and power use environment of energy-consuming companies that visit the special pavilion and presents an ‘integrated energy solution model’ that provides the most suitable eco-friendly energy and energy efficiency plan for the company.
The integrated energy solution model converts renewable energy produced through solar power on the roofs of industrial complexes and factories into resources that can contribute to stabilizing the power system by fusing them with power brokerage or the renewable energy bidding market, and each company uses it for self-consumption or RE100 companies are eco-friendly. We suggest ways to utilize it as energy. Companies can reduce energy costs by optimizing energy efficiency using Korea East-West Power’s own platform and earn additional profits by selling them as demand response resources (DR) in the electricity market.
Kim Young-moon, President of East-West Power, said, “Solar power in industrial complexes has the effect of killing two birds with one stone by reducing costs by distributing eco-friendly energy and improving energy efficiency.” “We will fulfill our role as a company that provides integrated energy solutions.”
Meanwhile, at the International Green Energy Expo, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, 22 companies from 300 countries participated with 1,010 booths and exhibited solar modules, inverters, solar structures, solar roofs, and energy storage systems. In addition, the only solar and hydrogen business conference in Korea, the International Future Energy Conference (PVMI, H2MI) will be held at the same time. At the Solar Market Insight (PVMI) held for two days from April 4 to 12, the latest trends in the photovoltaic industry under the theme of ‘the future of solar power generation for RE13 realization’ will be shared, and on April 100 and 4, ‘Hydrogen -Hydrogen Market Insight (H13MI) will be held under the theme of ‘starting the industrialization engine’.
