Attention is focusing on whether Master Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd.’s small electric cargo vehicle ‘Power’ will continue the lineage of national delivery vehicles following Damas.
Master Electric Vehicle (CEO Jang Eun-seok) announced that it will sign an MOU on ‘Support for small business owners through joint purchase of small electric vehicles’ with the National Federation of Small and Medium Business Organizations on the morning of the 2023th at its booth at the 4 Seoul Mobility Show held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi-do.
Since GM Daewoo began producing Damas in 1991, more than 38 units have been distributed domestically, gaining a reputation as the ‘national delivery vehicle’ among self-employed people and small business owners. However, as it was discontinued in 2021, self-employed people and small business owners experienced inconveniences in their business as they did not have suitable substitute cars with similar cost-effectiveness.
In order to resolve this inconvenience, the National Federation of Small and Medium Business Associations reportedly decided to support self-employed small business owners across the country by jointly purchasing small electric vehicles produced and sold by Master Electric Vehicle.
The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business Associations is an organization representing 20 million members and 700 small and medium-sized business organizations, including the National Awning (Curtain) Association, Advertising and Promotional Materials Association, Laundry Association, Supermarket Association, and Underground Shopping Mall Association.
Jeong In-dae, CEO of the Federation, said, “After reviewing various car models from various manufacturers, we decided that ‘MASTA HIM’ was very suitable for self-employed small business owners economically and functionally, so we decided to jointly purchase it.”
Jang Eun-seok, CEO of Master Electric Vehicle, said, “Through electric vehicle subsidies, you can benefit up to 57% of the vehicle purchase cost depending on the region, and in particular, you can use installment products or leases through financial company affiliate programs.”
Master Electric Vehicle, which independently developed the ultra-small electric cargo vehicle ‘MASTA HIM’, is growing rapidly by exporting electric vehicle production total solutions to the Philippines and Indonesia based on its performance of supplying it as a delivery vehicle to the Postal Service Headquarters since 2019.
Meanwhile, the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show will begin with a press day on March 1th (Thursday) at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 3 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do under the theme of ‘Sustainable·Connected·Mobility (Sustainable·Connected·Mobility)’ and end on April 30th ( It will be held until Sunday. The total exhibition size is 4㎡, more than twice the size of the previous event (9㎡), and over 53,541 companies and organizations from 26,310 countries around the world will participate and showcase various mobility contents.
