Kos Global Co., Ltd. (CEO Yoo Si-tak) participated in the ‘3 Seoul Mobility Show’, which opened on March 31st and will be held at KINTEX for a total of 4 days until April 9th.
KOS GLOBAL is leading the stainless steel wire market with quality competitiveness based on more than 50 years of stainless steel wire production technology know-how. In addition to our traditional business field of stainless steel wire, we are successfully developing and launching new products such as PV ribbon for solar cell modules, titanium wire, metal powder, and medical materials. We are not satisfied with this and are continuously researching the composite material field as a new business. Development is in progress.
At this exhibition, future mobility lightweight front frames and future air mobility (Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) blades) were mainly exhibited. The official explained that these products can be made lighter by applying carbon composite materials and can improve damping effect and corrosion resistance. In addition, reflecting future mobility industry trends, the design was designed to allow internal space to be used for specific purposes such as rest, work, and mobile warehouses rather than simple transportation, and the lightweight AAM Blade was designed to improve fuel efficiency. It has been done.
Currently, Kos Global is conducting product design and manufacturing with a focus on future mobility parts, and is concentrating on developing high-rigidity, lightweight parts technology. We focus on developing technology to implement high-rigidity, lightweight parts to ensure high mileage and safety for two means of transportation, Purpose-Based Mobility (PBV) and Future Air Mobility (AAM), and apply them to mass production by securing price competitiveness. We are continuously conducting research on this possible manufacturing process.
A COS Global official said, “Through this exhibition, we will design and develop composite materials that can be applied to future mobility to promote entry into new businesses, build a network with advanced companies and composite material-related companies, and grow the field. “I participated to lay the foundation for this,” he said.
He continued, “We are constructing a KOS advanced composite material cluster plant in Gyeongsan, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and aim to establish a foundation and enter the market by securing composite material molding and processing technology and becoming technologically independent.” He added, “Completion of the KOS advanced composite material cluster by the first half of 2023.” The plan is to complete the project and proceed with base expansion and technology advancement by 2026. In addition, we plan to develop and mass-produce products with the goal of entering the future mobility, aerospace, and construction fields.”
Meanwhile, the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show will begin with a press day on March 1th (Thursday) at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 3 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do under the theme of ‘Sustainable·Connected·Mobility (Sustainable·Connected·Mobility)’ and end on April 30th ( It will be held until Sunday. The total exhibition size is 4㎡, more than twice the size of the previous event (9㎡), and over 53,541 companies and organizations from 26,310 countries around the world will participate and showcase various mobility contents.
