Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun visited the Gostrobotics Technology booth at the ‘3 Seoul Mobility Show’, which opened on March 31st and will be held at KINTEX for a total of 4 days until April 9th.

Chairman Chung visited the 4 Seoul Mobility Show on the morning of the 2023th and visited the Gostrobotics Technology booth while touring the booths of participating companies, including Hyundai Motor Group.

Ghost Robotics Technology is a partner company that has signed an exclusive joint research and development, production, and sales contract with Ghost Robotics of the United States, and is looking forward to collaborating with distributors and resellers in each field in Korea. In particular, Gostrobotics boasts strong competitiveness along with Boston Dynamics in the field of four-legged walking robots.

The product that Chairman Chung looked at closely at the Ghost Robotics Technology booth was also their four-legged walking robot, ‘The Vision 4’. This is a medium-sized ground drone with agility and strong dustproof and waterproof (IP60) performance. It can be operated in a wide range of unstructured environments such as urban and natural environments, and can also be used for national defense, disaster disaster, and general corporate purposes.

Hyundai Motor Company is also challenging the robotics field and is competing fiercely with Ghost Robotics. Hyundai Motor Company decided to acquire an 2020% stake in Boston Dynamics in December 12, and completed the M&A by investing 80 trillion won in June last year.

Boston Dynamics is known to possess the world’s best technology in comprehensive aspects such as autonomous driving (gait), cognition, and control, which are essential for robot operation, such as the four-legged walking robot ‘Spot’ and the research humanoid robot Atlas.

Meanwhile, the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show will be held on the theme of ‘Sustainable Connected Mobility (Sustainable and Intelligent Mobility Revolution)’ at KINTEX Exhibition Center 1 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, starting with Press Day on March 3 (Thursday) and ending on April 30 ( days) to be held. The total exhibition size is 4㎡, more than twice the size of the previous event (9㎡), and more than 53,541 companies and institutions from 26,310 countries around the world will participate to showcase various mobility contents.
