Hosted by the Seoul Mobility Show Organizing Committee (Chairman Kang Nam-hoon and Chairman of the Korea Automobile Industry Association, hereinafter referred to as the Organizing Committee), the products exhibited at the ‘1 Seoul Mobility Show’ will be held from April 1 (Sunday) in Halls 5 to 4 of KINTEX Exhibition Hall 9 in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do. A variety of mobility products such as new cars, concept cars, robotics, purpose-built vehicles (PBV), and urban air mobility (UAM) are attracting the attention of visitors.
Twelve domestic and foreign car brands participated in this exhibition and unveiled a total of 12 new cars, including 8 World Premieres, 4 Asia Premieres, and 9 Korea Premieres. There are 21 types of concept cars, and over 10 types of vehicles will be presented to visitors.
The world’s first unveiled vehicles are Kia’s large electric SUV ‘EV9’, Alpha Motor’s electric pickup trucks ‘Wolf’ and ‘Wolf Plus’, KG Mobility’s ‘Torres EVX’, ‘O100’, ‘F100’, ‘KR10’, and Hyundai The ‘Sonata The Edge’ is a car, and the first vehicles unveiled in Asia are Mercedes-Benz’s ‘Project Mondo G’ in collaboration with fashion brand ‘Mondo G’, Mini’s ‘MINI CONCEPT CAR’, INEOS’ ‘INEOS Grenadier’, and Porsche ‘Vision 357’, etc.
Hyundai Mobis’ Purpose-Based Vehicle (PBV) ‘M-Vision TO’ and ‘M-Vision HI’, which were unveiled for the first time in Korea, are also attracting great attention from visitors. ‘M-Vision TO’ is a mobility system that combines new autonomous driving technologies. It is capable of crab driving, where the left and right wheels rotate 90 degrees, and 360-degree rotation in place, and visitors can experience it for themselves at the exhibition hall. ‘M-Vision HI’ is a PBV developed for leisure and relaxation purposes.
A variety of electric mobility is also popular. IREON, an urban electric commercial vehicle brand created to pioneer the Korean e-commercial mobility market, unveiled the IR3 and IR5 electric trucks optimized for urban environments, and D&A Motors (formerly Daelim Motorcycle) exhibited the electric motorcycle eCITI. In addition, Daechang Motors and DPICO. Brands such as Master Electric Vehicle, EVKMC, Geo Infotech Innovation (Micro), Blue Shark Korea, and Zen Station are unveiling various electric mobility products.
Unique air mobility works also attract the attention of visitors. SK Telecom’s UAM experience booth is one of the most popular programs on site, allowing users to realistically experience UAM operations by boarding a large robot arm. In the aviation mobility special hall prepared with the Aerospace Industry-Academia Convergence Institute, you can check out the ‘eVTOL’ aircraft of Vspace, the first domestic company to successfully conduct a UAM demonstration flight.
The entries in the robotics field are also diverse. Tesla is exhibiting its humanoid robot ‘Tesla Bot’ along with its vehicles. Ghostrobotics’ four-legged walking robot ‘Vision 4’, also known as ‘robot dog’, moves around the exhibition hall and interacts directly with visitors. Hyundai Motor Company has also set up a separate robotics demonstration space, ‘Mobility House’, and is showcasing the four-legged walking robot ‘Spot’, a delivery robot, and an automatic electric vehicle charging robot.
Meanwhile, the Seoul Mobility Show is Korea’s only mobility exhibition accredited by the Association of the International Automotive Industry (OICA) and is held every two years starting in 1995. 2 companies and organizations from 2023 countries around the world participated in the 12 Seoul Mobility Show, and viewing hours are from 163 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends.
