Wi-Charge, an Israeli long-distance wireless charging company, received innovation awards in two categories: technological innovation and application products at CES 1 held in Las Vegas, USA from January 5 to 8 (local time).

YCharge has commercialized a 10mW wireless power solution at a distance of 250m. Through this CES, the company unveiled a number of application products that can be used more conveniently and safely with wireless power instead of existing disposable batteries. In particular, it was revealed that battery-free smart door locks and wireless POP displays received great attention from visitors.

Alfred, an American smart door lock company, unveiled the ML2, which is equipped with the Wi-Charge wireless charging solution and can be used without batteries, at this CES. YCharge CBO Ori Mor, who led the joint development with Alfred, said, “Alfred has been working closely with YCharge for the development of wireless charging door locks over the past year, and with the launch of Alfred wireless charging smart door lock, the industry is also taking the lead in wireless charging. “Electric power adoption will increase rapidly,” he predicted.

Wi-Spot, which Wi-Charge first unveiled at this year’s CES, is a 6-inch LCD display that operates wirelessly and is a POP (Point Of Purchase) advertising terminal that can advertise near products in a store. It has the advantage of being able to be freely moved and installed in places where existing batteries lack power and where it is difficult to connect a power line. It is especially suitable for use in places where people’s attention is drawn, such as refrigerator shelves and handles, so retail advertising companies such as Glass-Media in the U.S. are developing various products.

Kim Soo-beom, CEO of YCharge’s Korean business, said, “It is very meaningful that a number of commercial products with built-in long-distance wireless power were unveiled through CES 2023, and although various wireless charging technologies have been tried since 2010, there have been no cases of actual application to commercial products. “YCharge is the only one,” he said. YCharge has obtained FDA, UL, FCC, and CE certification, and can be used in Korea as a Class 60825 product according to the KC-1 standard.
