Sleep tech startup BR Lab will participate in ‘CES 1’, the world’s largest IT and home appliance exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA for a total of four days from January 5th (Thursday) to 8th (Sunday, local time) and present a ‘sleep platform’. They announced that they would release ‘J.B.L.’
BR Lab plans to set up a booth in the Eureka pavilion of this year’s CES to provide visitors with the opportunity to experience JBL’s real-time monitoring and feedback.
Jable is a platform that monitors the user’s sleep status using sensors mounted on the mattress and provides various solutions. Instead of attaching a specific device to the user’s body, sleep information can be analyzed through sensors in the mattress just by lying in bed. Based on this, it even provides solutions to alleviate sleep apnea and insomnia.
These sensors are BR Lab’s core technology and are aimed at collecting and analyzing information such as biological signals and sleep conditions in a non-contact, non-binding manner. Through correlation data between sleep status and heart rate obtained through over 10 years of research, the vibration solution installed in the mattress activates the parasympathetic nerves in patients with sleep disorders and induces heart rate conditions for optimal sleep.
BR Lab explains that the bio-signal measurement accuracy of the sensor technology-based mattress developed by BR Lab reaches 99% for heart rate variability and 97% for sleep apnea, which is similar to polysomnography performed in hospitals. In addition, the solution for deep sleep also confirmed effects such as autonomic synchronization rate of 146% during deep sleep, parasympathetic nerve activation rate of 116%, and memory improvement after sleep of 278%.
In addition, BR Lab also provides ‘Dana’, a cognitive behavioral mobile service based on user data, along with the Jable platform. It is currently in the final stages of the related certification acquisition process and is scheduled to be released in the first half of 2023.
Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition, is an exhibition where you can understand the trends of the global home appliance industry at a glance. Hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), it is held every January in Las Vegas, USA. AVING News, which has covered CES for 1 consecutive years, has reported CES news around the world every year since 17, and has been selected as the ‘BEST OF CES’, which selects the best innovative products and technologies, and the ‘BEST OF’, which selects domestic innovative companies. ‘MADE IN KOREA’ was held. In addition, CES on-site issues were vividly conveyed through ‘AVING LIVE’.
