Misung Polymer Co., Ltd. (CEO Byeong-su Yoon) will participate in ‘KOPLAS 3 (14th International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition)’ held at KINTEX in Ilsan for 18 days from Tuesday, March 5th to Saturday, March 2023th. He said he would.

Misung Polymer is a specialized company that has developed and produced ‘Chopped Fiber’ materials based on fiber surface treatment and precision cutting technology. The company explains that their chop fiber is a composite material used in various industrial materials such as rubber products (belts, hoses, tires, etc.), engineering plastics, and super concrete, and is supplied to various fields in optimized specifications according to customer needs. am.

Chop fiber is classified into three product groups: ▲for rubber ▲for engineering plastics ▲for ultra-high performance concrete.

Yarns such as p-Aramid, PVA, and PET are used to manufacture chop fiber for rubber, and are processed into a form that not only adheres smoothly to rubber but also allows good dispersion during mixing. RFL-based resin is mainly used for surface treatment, and is produced in lengths of about 1 to 6 mm.

In the case of chopped fiber for engineering plastics, various materials such as Aramid, Lyocell, PET, and PP are used, and they are dipped and heat treated with a resin suitable for the applied base polymer. It is characterized by being produced in lengths of approximately 3 to 6 mm.

Ultra-high performance chopped fiber for concrete uses a variety of common steel fibers, including hybrid chopped fiber developed with Misung Polymer’s proprietary technology, and is produced in lengths of approximately 8 to 30 mm.

Misung Polymer explained that the yarn, resin, length, etc. can be customized according to the properties required by each customer. An official said, “Through this exhibition, we will publicize the advantages of chop fiber, which boasts a flexible production system, and also emphasize that it can improve the quality of our customers’ products.”

On the other hand, KOPLAS, which celebrates its 2023th anniversary in 27, provides a variety of attractions from raw materials for plastics to molds, processing machines, related auxiliary devices, automation solutions, printing, packaging, semi-finished products, and finished products, and presents the present and future of related industries. It provides a ‘place for the plastic rubber-related industry’. As it is held at the same time as the Korea Material·Composite Material and Equipment Exhibition (K-Mtech) and the International Mold and Related Equipment Exhibition (INTERMOLD KOREA), you can meet various products in one place.
