CIJ Korea Co., Ltd. (CEO Lim Jin-hong) will participate in ‘KOPLAS 3 (14th International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition)’, which will be held at KINTEX in Ilsan for 18 days from Tuesday, March 5th to Saturday, March 2023th. He announced that he would participate.

CIJ Korea is a company specializing in industrial inkjet printers, established in 2000. The company explains that it has supplied its products to a variety of companies, including the heavy and light industries, and provides high-speed printing to all industries and sectors, focusing on the most advanced manufacturing lines through the non-contact inkjet method.

In particular, CIJ Korea is a global company such as Germany’s ‘WIEDENBACH’, ‘REA-JET’, and ‘REINER’, and Spain’s ‘United Barcode System (UBS)’. It is known that they are also maintaining partnerships with others.

At this exhibition, CIJ Korea will present LeaJet’s label-free direct printing solution ‘REA JET HR’. This is a product that enables label-free printing on PET bottles for food and beverages through non-contact direct printing technology. It can be printed without the ‘MEK (Methyl·Ethyl·Ketone)’ ingredient, which is harmful to the human body, and is therefore considered a direct printing solution that can be widely applied to products in industries where harmlessness to the human body is a priority, such as food and medicine.

In addition, REA JET HR is based on cartridge-type ink, so it has the convenience of ink replacement similar to that of an office printer. At the same time, by providing a variable data function, product information that changes frequently on a fast-moving manufacturing line can be expressed in compressed information in the form of 2D code as well as plain text.

In particular, as consumer interest in eco-friendly products increases and related regulations increase worldwide, distributors are releasing label-free bottled water, straw-less cups, and coffee one after another. Accordingly, while the trend to minimize previously used vinyl and plastic packaging is gaining prominence, REA JET HR is attracting attention as it is expected to be able to reduce 2 kg of waste per year.

Lim Jin-hong, CEO of CIJ Korea, said, “Recently, the Ministry of Environment has administratively announced the ‘Standards, Specifications and Labeling Standards for Drinking Spring Water,’ which stipulates the wholesale conversion of all bottled water products distributed in Korea to label-free starting in 2026.” “As various new regulations and laws are being prepared with the goal of expanding sustainability, our products will be products that can greatly contribute to the eco-friendly management of each company,” he explained.

He continued, “The amount of plastic waste produced every year around the world amounts to a whopping 3 million tons, and among them, Korea is producing so much waste relative to its population that it ranks second in annual per capita consumption of packaging plastic.” “As side effects and reactions due to plastic waste are approaching in the near future, we predict that the demand for these products will continue to increase,” he added.

On the other hand, KOPLAS, which celebrates its 2023th anniversary in 27, provides a variety of attractions from raw materials for plastics to molds, processing machines, related auxiliary devices, automation solutions, printing, packaging, semi-finished products, and finished products, and presents the present and future of related industries. It provides a ‘place for the plastic rubber-related industry’. As it is held at the same time as the Korea Material·Composite Material and Equipment Exhibition (K-Mtech) and the International Mold and Related Equipment Exhibition (INTERMOLD KOREA), you can meet various products in one place.
