SK Biopharmaceuticals held a preliminary information session on the 2023th to introduce the roadmap and vision of its digital healthcare business ahead of CES 1, which will be held in January 2023.
SK Biopharmaceuticals aims to grow into a global top-level comprehensive healthcare solution company that provides integrated services such as real-time monitoring and detection of data-based seizures to epilepsy patients. At the event, SK Biopharmaceuticals announced its intention to take the lead in strengthening the digital business model and building an ecosystem.
The specific goal is complete disappearance of seizures in epilepsy patients. This is the so-called ‘Project ZEOTM’, and the plan includes ▲ a wearable device that collects the patient’s brainwave, electrocardiogram, and movement data in real time ▲ an artificial intelligence (AI) model that analyzes the collected data to detect the occurrence of seizures ▲ This includes the development of a mobile app that provides seizure detection notifications and records and analyzes history to help manage the disease.
SK Biopharmaceuticals plans to showcase a total of five types of epilepsy devices developed as part of Project Zero at CES 5. ‘Zero GlassesTM’ and ‘Zero WiredTM’ have outstanding design and technology, leading SK Biopharmaceuticals to become the first domestic pharmaceutical company to win the CES Innovation Award. These wearable devices are products that record biosignals in real time and analyze data in ‘Zero AppTM’.
In addition, SK Biopharm plans to introduce devices such as ‘Zero HeadbandTM’, ‘Zero EarbudTM’, and ‘Zero HeadsetTM’.
“We are pleased to present Project Zero and wearable devices, which are the core of SK Biopharm’s digital transformation,” said Hwang Seon-kwan, head of SK Biopharm’s R&D Innovation Division (Vice President). “We will not stop expanding into the healthcare field and will leap forward to become a global comprehensive healthcare solution company.”
