Chryser Co., Ltd. (CEO Lim Yong-seon) participated in the ‘4 World IT Show (WIS 19)’ held at COEX in Seoul from Wednesday, April 21th to Friday, April 2023st.

Chryser, which develops system hardware and video displays based on Android OS and Arm System, has conducted development projects with numerous clients for many years and has created a variety of products. Chryser explained that through firmware customization, it is possible to develop not only video displays that can be used conveniently and quickly, but also customized devices that perfectly fit the usage environment, corporate characteristics, and product use and purpose.

By turning the vague plans imagined by clients into reality, we are creating products that end users can use comfortably and satisfactorily. Recently, we are expanding our base by establishing a development environment that can develop not only hardware and firmware, but also software at once.

Chryser, which participated in the World IT Show for the first time in four years since 2019, achieved the desired results by working hard to develop new products and upgrade the performance of existing products even during the coronavirus pandemic. In addition, we achieved additional goals of obtaining technology patents and entering new fields, and announced these achievements at this exhibition.

The first flagship product is the ALL IN ONE touch PC, which combines Chryser’s unique strengths with a motherboard that allows development. In addition to the functionality of a touch monitor, it has the advantage of being more convenient to use and develop in various environments. The official explains that this is possible because the motherboard installed in the product is designed to enable smooth interconnection with other industrial equipment and other devices.

A new version of the unmanned ship was also introduced. In general, it was introduced as a product that goes one step further than DIDs and kiosks that were intended only to transmit advertisements and elicits direct responses and independent participation from consumers. Chryser’s unmanned enclosure is equipped with a motion sense, so when a user is nearby, the device responds and changes into a platform so that the user can directly search for information. In addition, it is designed to be used for payments through a responsive touch screen. It was emphasized that the purpose varies depending on whether the user is present or not, and that one device can perform two or more roles.

In addition, the so-called ‘stretch bar’, a bar display, was also unveiled. Scheduled for official launch in May, it was developed to pursue diversity in advertising DIDs at a time when the type of advertising is switching to media and digital. Unlike general monitors, the ability to create a unique atmosphere just by installing it by varying the proportions and directions was cited as a strength. Information and advertising in small spaces such as convenience stores and marts, and price tags combined with furniture were implemented so that they are not restricted by space. In response, Kreiser said, “Hardware development has been completed, and we are in the software development and upgrade phase to provide users with more efficient advertisements or platforms.”

He continued, “Existing DIDs are generally produced with the monitor ratio we are familiar with. Although these products have the advantage of being stable, they have limitations such as difficulty in special places where it is narrow or difficult to install existing DIDs, in combination with products such as furniture, and in the development of new types of advertisements. “Kreiser’s bar display was created to break these limitations and allow signage to be used in more places,” he explained the background to the development.

The responsive unmanned ship, which was introduced as a flagship product, was also developed with a similar purpose. If the bar display was intended to expand diversity, the responsive unmanned enclosure was intended to maximize the efficiency of DID. A company official said, “Moving away from signage that only advertises or kiosks that only make payments, a product has been created that can provide a variety of services and content with just one device. “In addition, it has great significance in that it induces actual user behavior and contributes to content production, rather than providing information/advertisement unilaterally,” he said.

In the case of Chryser’s other new product, the FRAMELESS product, it was introduced as a product that can be combined and divided with its own motherboard, allowing unlimited expansion without the need for expensive matrix equipment when forming a video wall. In the future, we aim to upgrade to develop a thinner bezel and make high-quality FRAMELESS products easy to use in a variety of purposes and locations.

An official said, “We are also focusing on integrated hardware development and development through subsidiary development of hardware, firmware, and software. “Our goal is to expand the usability and direction of use by adding software that fits existing hardware products,” he said. “Also, at Chryser, we are building a one-stop development environment where hardware, firmware, and software can be developed all at once.”

Meanwhile, the ‘World IT Show’, a one-stop platform for digital transformation, is a representative exhibition leading the next-generation high-tech industry. The 2023 World IT Show, with the slogan ‘Changing our life, K-Digital’, will feature ▲AI platform, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud, and ICT convergence services ▲Smart home, office, and home appliances. and smart healthcare ▲Intelligent mobility and robots such as autonomous driving, UAM, drones, etc. ▲Digital Twin & Metaverse (XR technology) ▲Cloud and software ▲Security software & Blockchain (NFT) ▲The latest technologies and products in the field of quantum information science Exhibited and introduced. In addition, the ‘WIS 2023 Innovation Award’ and the ‘2023 Korea ImpaCT-ech Grand Prize’ were awarded to the technologies and products that attracted the most attention among participating companies.
