FS Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Mi-hwa) participated in the ‘4 World IT Show (WIS 19)’ held at COEX in Seoul from Wednesday, April 21th to Friday, April 2023st and introduced an electrical fire prevention solution.
FS is a company specializing in the development of artificial intelligence, IoT, big data, and disaster safety management (fire prevention) solutions. As a company specializing in the construction of smart city safety control, it developed Korea’s first IoT-based electrical condition detection sensor technology, provided electrical risk and power use prediction services through AI and big data analysis, and developed an integrated intelligent energy safety management platform (i-Mosa-01). Its technological prowess and potential for overseas markets were recognized through designation as an innovative product by the Public Procurement Service in 2021 and selection as a leading company in overseas public procurement by the Public Procurement Service in 2023.
The ‘Intelligent Energy Safety Management Integrated Platform (i-FireSens)’ introduced at this exhibition installs the first IoT convergence sensor developed in Korea in the distribution box to analyze the data collected at all times and when signs of electrical fire (overcurrent, leakage current) occur. This is a solution that helps prevent electrical fires by responding proactively with a notification service (PUSH/SMS transmission). Based on the first generation solution, we have been developing a fire monitoring system for traditional markets, and have gone through the second generation technology development process and are currently providing the third generation solution.
The 3rd generation IoT-based, AI analysis electrical fire prediction and prevention system that prevents electrical fires is equipped with four functions: ▲electrical fire abnormal signal ▲power quality ▲energy usage ▲equipment failure. In the case of a detector using FS’s ‘Smart Power Detection Sensor’, it was introduced that it is possible to detect resistive leakage current up to 4mA. The company explained that this makes it possible to collect electrical safety information in real time, analyze stored big data based on AI, and predict and pre-inspect points where electrical fires are likely to occur.

An FS official said, “Condition detectors equipped with IoT electrical safety sensors are used in important national infrastructure such as data centers, energy storage devices, and underground power outlets, as well as distribution boards such as various buildings, traditional markets, industrial complex factories, underground battery charging stations, and logistics warehouses. “It is installed on the circuit breaker inside the distribution board and monitors electrical data every day,” he said. “As a result, you can even analyze power usage and receive a monthly analysis report, enabling analysis and design of actual power usage, making it effective in saving energy and costs.”
In addition, the ease of installation and the ability to build a control system as needed were cited as advantages. It is possible to build a self-network by installing a self-developed gateway (LoRa technology), and provides 24-hour remote monitoring and notification services even during times when electrical fires are vulnerable, such as at night and on weekends.
An official said, “Among disaster disasters, the rate of accidents and disasters caused by electrical fires is particularly high, and there is a demand for an environment where electrical facilities and equipment can be used safely and conveniently. As cities and industries become more sophisticated, there is a need for an environment based on electrical energy. Facilities and equipment are increasing. Accordingly, we introduced the ‘Intelligent Energy Safety Management Integrated Platform (i-FireSens),’ a self-developed electrical fire prevention solution,” he said. “Considering that it is difficult to introduce new smart technologies to old and underdeveloped facilities and areas, “We implemented a new electrical fire prevention solution by adopting a compact and adaptable wireless module-type device as a complementary concept,” he explained the background of the development.

FS, which is proving its technological prowess in the global market by entering the North American market in January of this year and signing a $1 million purchase contract, plans to expand into three countries, including Singapore and Dubai. This year, with the support of KOTRA, we are seeking demonstration projects in Dubai and Singapore as part of our overseas public procurement leading enterprise development project, and are expected to enter the overseas market in earnest starting in 300.
An official expressed his ambition, saying, “To commercialize the 4th generation of the ‘Intelligent Energy Safety Management Integrated Platform’, we will advance the data-based analysis algorithm and implement a more accurate and faster energy safety management integrated platform by incorporating various data modules.”
Meanwhile, the ‘World IT Show’, a one-stop platform for digital transformation, is a representative exhibition leading the next-generation high-tech industry. The 2023 World IT Show, with the slogan ‘Changing our life, K-Digital’, will feature ▲AI platform, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud, and ICT convergence services ▲Smart home, office, and home appliances. and smart healthcare ▲Intelligent mobility and robots such as autonomous driving, UAM, drones, etc. ▲Digital Twin & Metaverse (XR technology) ▲Cloud and software ▲Security software & Blockchain (NFT) ▲The latest technologies and products in the field of quantum information science Exhibited and introduced. In addition, the ‘WIS 2023 Innovation Award’ and the ‘2023 Korea ImpaCT-ech Grand Prize’ were awarded to the technologies and products that attracted the most attention among participating companies.
