Lee Jeong-woon, a senior researcher at Korea Gas Safety Corporation’s Gas Safety Research Institute, spoke as a speaker at the ’14rd Hydrogen Market Insights (H3MI)’ domestic P2G empirical status session held at EXCO (CEO Lee Sang-gil) in Daegu on the 2th and said, A presentation was made on the ‘Status of Equipment KGS Code Development’.
The Gas Safety Research Institute is evaluated as the best professional research institute that plays a central role in national gas safety research, and is focusing its capabilities on building a global research infrastructure, developing gas accident prevention technology, and discovering future growth engine projects.
In particular, the institute recently prepared a basic gas safety management plan and persuaded the public of the need for government support based on the public nature of the gas safety field. As a result, the government’s permanent financial support for the ‘Gas Safety Technology and Standards Research Project’ was legislated through legislative proposals by lawmakers, deliberation by the Ministry of Government Legislation, and resolution at the plenary session, and the feat of stably securing R&D project resources was achieved.
At this conference, Senior Researcher Jeongwoon Lee said, “As we are experiencing numerous energy environmental problems such as resource depletion, lack of energy supply and demand, climate change, natural resource monopoly, and energy poverty, future national competitiveness will be determined by the country that dominates energy technology competitiveness.” did.
Senior researcher Lee explained in detail the scope of application of water electrolysis equipment and major safety standards. Senior researcher Lee continued, “We will establish a system in line with the supply period of various products, various types, small water electrolyzers, and new products,” and added, “We will try not to hinder the distribution of products by companies.”
