Miga Medical (CEO Ji-eun Lee) announced that it will participate in the 39th International Medical Equipment and Hospital Equipment Exhibition ‘KIMES 2024’, which will be held at COEX, Seoul from Thursday, March 14th to Sunday, March 17th.
Miga Medical was established in April 1990 and imports and distributes various medical supplies and medical devices for orthopedic surgery. It began domestically producing cast bandages and supports in 1995 and exports them to over 40 countries around the world. After manufacturing the needle-less syringe for the first time in Korea in 2012 and obtaining approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the company achieved the feat of receiving CE MDR certification and being designated as a domestic new medical technology in 2023.
As ComfortIn, a needle-less syringe, has been registered as a new medical technology for subcutaneous injections and local dental anesthesia, we plan to actively publicize this at this exhibition. In addition, we are actively introducing the CE MDR certified JET-INJECTION to overseas buyers who visit KIMES to pioneer overseas markets.
Miga Medical’s Comfortin is a product suitable for subcutaneous and intramuscular syringes for people who are afraid of needle pain and diabetic patients who need to frequently administer insulin, for local dental anesthesia, for growth hormones, and for vaccines.
Miga Medical said, “After development in 2013 and beginning mass production, we have consistently exhibited at Dubai Arab Health and Germany Medica exhibitions every year and focused on overseas sales first, currently exporting to over 15 countries. “The technology, safety, and effectiveness were first proven in developed countries overseas, so it was finally registered as a new domestic medical technology, and it became possible to claim for temporary non-reimbursement,” he explained.
In addition, he said of his future plans, “We are continuing to develop products that expand the variety of indications for needle-free syringes and increase ease of use, and we also plan to collaborate on drug development that utilizes the advantages of spray-type syringes.”
Meanwhile, KIMES is an exhibition specializing in medical devices and hospital equipment that has steadily grown along with the development of the Korean medical industry since its first meeting in 1980. Meanwhile, the domestic medical industry has been engaged in medical information systems, ultrasound scanners, medical imaging equipment, robotic medicine, AI, It has transformed into a technology-intensive high-tech industry such as rehabilitation medicine.
