STRA Co., Ltd. (CEO Yongho Kim) participated in the Future Innovation Tech Expo 2024 (FIX 2024), held from October 23 to 26 at Daegu EXCO.
STRA, a startup spun off from Samsung Electronics through its spinoff program, strengthened its R&D capabilities in music and audio-related AI even before its independence.
Currently, STRA offers the K-pop singing and dancing platform “Kpop Pro” to the global market, leveraging the popularity of the Korean wave to expand its user base steadily. In parallel, the company supplies AI-powered audio solutions to enterprise clients, diversifying its business and achieving incremental growth.
At FIX 2024, STRA showcased various AI audio technologies that add new value to music content, including AI music separation, AI vocal synthesis, AI multilingual dubbing, and AI lyric and subtitle syncing.
The AI music separation technology, also known as the “Voice Eraser,” isolates specific vocals from music tracks, offering versatile applications. Additionally, the AI vocal synthesis solution allows users to recreate voices—whether their own or those of professional singers—to generate cover songs, streamlining content creation.
STRA also demonstrated AI multilingual dubbing, which creates voiceovers in multiple languages using a famous personality’s voice, and AI lyric and subtitle syncing, which detects the starting points of text within a track. These innovative technologies captured the attention of many visitors during live demonstrations.
A STRA representative stated, “Our AI audio technologies, known for their versatility, have received enthusiastic responses and praise from major domestic companies. This event’s overwhelming ‘wow factor’ is expected to contribute to future sales growth.”
The representative added, “Our Kpop Pro application surpassed 300,000 global downloads within its first year, with over 100,000 K-pop fans in the U.S., Brazil, and India using the app for an average of 25 minutes daily and singing over 1,300 songs. Following the successful global launch of our B2C service, we aim to boost globalization efforts by exporting AI solutions to enterprise clients.”
FIX 2024 featured specialized exhibitions, conferences, and business programs focusing on mobility, robotics, AI, and startups. The Daegu International Future Auto & Mobility Expo 2024 at EXCO’s East Wing showcased trends in UAM, autonomous driving, batteries, components, and services.
