SIE Co., Ltd. participated in the “2024 Future Innovation tech eXpo (FIX 2024)” at Daegu EXCO from October 23 to October 26. The company highlighted its expertise in producing, assembling, and selling precision components, including speed reducers, for the automotive and industrial sectors. The company also contributes to the defense industry by supplying gearboxes and motors for military applications.
At FIX 2024, SIE presented its Drive Gearbox Assembly, a defense product known for its durability under extreme conditions. The assembly features specifications such as 24VDC 70A, a solenoid brake, and a 53.7:1 reduction ratio. It is tested to MIL-STD-810E standards and demonstrates excellent performance under high and low-temperature operations and storage, making it ideal for military equipment like the K-9 self-propelled howitzer.
Additionally, SIE exhibited a generator assembly with specifications of 8kW (28VDC 285A) and 3,000rpm, designed for use in K-1E2 and K-2 tanks, K-9 self-propelled howitzers, and K-21 infantry fighting vehicles.
FIX 2024 featured specialized exhibitions, conferences, and business programs focusing on mobility, robotics, AI, and startups. The Daegu International Future Auto & Mobility Expo 2024 at EXCO’s East Wing showcased trends in UAM, autonomous driving, batteries, components, and services. Meanwhile, the 2024 ICT Convergence Expo Korea, held in the West Wing, exhibited AI, big data, blockchain, ICT, and metaverse technologies. The 2024 Daegu Robot Expo displayed industrial robots, humanoid robots, and digital transformation solutions for the robotics industry. The “Startup Arena” was introduced to facilitate meetings between startups and experts from startup accelerators like Samsung C-Lab and Plug and Play.
