NeoTech participated in the Future Innovation Tech Expo 2024 (FIX 2024), held from October 23 to 26 at Daegu EXCO.
NeoTech specializes in manufacturing and distributing high-performance suspension systems that are responsible for ride comfort and stability and braking systems that ensure vehicles stop effectively. The company emphasizes its “direct-to-customer” approach, engaging directly with customers to reflect market needs in its products.
The company manufactures dampers, springs, brake calipers, and brake discs. To develop better components, NeoTech collaborates with academic institutions like Keimyung University and the Korea University of Technology and Education and research organizations like the Korea Automobile Research Institute and Gyeongbuk Technopark. Notable developments include semi-active MR dampers and forged two-piece 8P calipers.
NeoTech highlighted its strong brand presence in the Korean tuning market and its growing exports to countries like the U.S., Australia, and Hong Kong.
At FIX 2024, NeoTech introduced its suspension systems, which are used in various vehicles, including regular cars, tow trucks, RVs, and racing cars. The systems are customizable to meet users’ needs. An inverted cartridge design significantly improves durability, as the cylinder acts as the rod, reducing the impact of lateral loads. However, this increases production costs.
NeoTech stated, “Our suspension system, composed of dampers, springs, and links, forms the foundation of a vehicle’s undercarriage. Our monotube dampers, paired with springs, more effectively absorb shocks, making driving safer. The system’s disassemblable structure allows each customer to customize ride comfort.”
They added, “Our high-performance brakes feature 4, 6, or 8 pistons, creating more efficient friction across a larger surface area, resulting in stronger braking power than stock calipers.”
FIX 2024 featured specialized exhibitions, conferences, and business programs focusing on mobility, robotics, AI, and startups. The Daegu International Future Auto & Mobility Expo 2024 at EXCO’s East Wing showcased trends in UAM, autonomous driving, batteries, components, and services. Meanwhile, the 2024 ICT Convergence Expo Korea, held in the West Wing, exhibited AI, big data, blockchain, ICT, and metaverse technologies. The 2024 Daegu Robot Expo displayed industrial robots, humanoid robots, and digital transformation solutions for the robotics industry. The “Start-up Arena” was introduced to facilitate meetings between startups and experts from startup accelerators like Samsung C-Lab and Plug and Play.
