Ecopeace (CEO In-won Chae) participated in the Future Innovation tech eXpo 2024 (FIX 2024), held from October 23 to 26 at EXCO. Known as a specialist in eco-friendly water quality improvement solutions, Ecopeace has introduced various renewable energy-based robotic products aimed at purifying and managing water resources. Their flagship product, Eco-Bot, is renowned for its efficiency and effectiveness in actively eliminating algae in reservoirs.
At the exhibition, Ecopeace showcased its Eco-Bot water purification robot alongside the Eco-Station system, which integrates monitoring, charging, and management for multiple Eco-Bots. Powered by AI, Eco-Bot autonomously navigates water surfaces, collecting and analyzing real-time water quality data, and employs a physical algae removal mechanism to offer managers a more effective water management and purification approach.
Eco-Bot is developing an advanced water quality management solution, Eco-Twin, in collaboration with NEXTORM, a Korean leader in AI and big data manufacturing, to enhance its features. By visualizing water data through digital twins, Eco-Twin enables intuitive monitoring and maximizes water management ecosystems’ efficiency, supporting preemptive pollution prevention and rapid response to contamination.
Eco-Bot is also equipped with solar panels on its surface to acquire energy from low-carbon sources, significantly reducing operational costs and carbon emissions related to energy needs. Additionally, Eco-Bot features a high-performance ECO-FILTER capable of removing 5-micron algae with 95% efficiency, showcasing Ecopeace’s comprehensive approach to water resource management.

FIX 2024 features specialized exhibitions, conferences, and business programs focusing on mobility, robotics, AI, and startups. The Daegu International Future Auto & Mobility Expo 2024 at EXCO’s East Wing will showcase trends in UAM, autonomous driving, batteries, components, and services. Meanwhile, the 2024 ICT Convergence Expo Korea, held in the West Wing, will exhibit AI, big data, blockchain, ICT, and metaverse technologies. The 2024 Daegu Robot Expo will display industrial robots, humanoid robots, and digital transformation solutions for the robotics industry. The “Start-up Arena” will also be newly launched, facilitating meetings between startups and experts from startup accelerators like Samsung C-Lab and Plug and Play.
