The first FIX Innovation Awards Media Day: IR pitches and Q&A sessions from 8 FIX Innovation Award-winning companies, 11 representatives from 9 global news media, and reporters from 5 Korean news outlets.
On October 22, Daegu Metropolitan City and EXCO hosted the “FIX Innovation Awards Media Day,” featuring IR presentations and Q&A sessions from eight winners of the FIX Innovation Awards. The event precedes the 2024 Future Innovation-tech eXpo (FIX 2024), showcasing groundbreaking technology and products.
FIX Innovation Awards, now in its inaugural year, saw participation from 210 companies. A top-tier evaluation panel, including government officials, global investors, and CES Innovation Awards judges, carefully selected nine companies for the Best Innovative Technology Award and 27 for the Innovation Award.
Eight award-winning companies from sectors like Future Mobility, ABB, and Robotics had the chance to pitch their flagship products to nine international media outlets. Following the presentations, there was a Q&A session.
– HEI (Future Mobility, Best Innovative Technology Award)
HEI is a supplier of the software solution Biifore, which can quickly and accurately assess and predict the state of health (SOH) of electric vehicle (EV) batteries. This solution enhances the safety of the EV industry and balances the asymmetry of battery info. While the user charges the vehicle, the HEI server diagnoses and calculates the SOH of the vehicle’s battery in under a minute and then shares the result through the app. This prevents fire and damage caused by battery failure independently from the car manufacturers, ensuring fair analysis and clean data.
– Korea Metal Silicon (Future Mobility, Best Innovative Technology Award)
KOREA METAL SILICON is a provider of ultra-precise silicon materials. They produce silicon powder, nano-silicon, and micro-silicon powders, all beneficial and necessary materials for powering future mobility technologies. The company produces silicon for semiconductors, secondary batteries, chemicals, and photovoltaic devices.
– Korea LFP (Future Mobility, Innovation Award)
Korea LFP is a company that specializes in manufacturing lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries among secondary batteries in its Korean factory. The company developed The SBMS (Smart Safe Battery Management System), the world’s first fire suppression electric control device that integrates fire suppression functions into the existing battery management system (BMS). It prevents thermal runaway and fire risks when using lithium batteries, ensuring human safety and social stability.
– Sapere Aude Inc. (ABB, Innovation Award)
Sapere Aude developed DocsHunt AI, an AI tool that creates PowerPoint slides and Word documents from keywords after conducting direct market research, discovering references, and integrating data. It aims to decrease the time and resources required to prepare business documents.
– WARP Solution (ABB, Innovation Award)
WARP Solution is a fabless company that has pioneered the development of Long-range wireless power transmission technology using RF and core components for 5G and RF charging technology, including Ultra-compact RF power amplifiers and High-frequency rectifiers. It developed SPACE:On, an RF wireless charger in the form of a desk lamp that charges multiple devices simultaneously within a range of up to 40 cm. It integrates lighting and charging functions to enhance usability and interior design in various settings.
– MindsAI (ABB, Innovation Award)
MindsAI specializes in converging biopsychosocial and artificial intelligence technologies for one-stop mental health services. Minds.NAVI is a software-as-medical Device (SaMD) that helps diagnose depression through Salivary Hormone Analysis. It assesses suicidal risk and depression severity using a psychometry battery (PROVE) and salivary cortisol and DHEA analysis for adrenal functional staging.
– Phantomics (ABB, Best Innovative Technology Award)
Phantomics develops and supplies the AI-based automatic diagnosis solution Myomics. It possesses image biomarker technology that provides rapid and accurate diagnostic results through medical images such as MRI or CT. The company introduced the myocardial disease diagnostic solution Myomics based on this technology. Recognizing such technological capabilities, Phantomics received the Innovation Award in the digital healthcare sector at CES 2024.
– Twinny (Robotics, Best Innovative Technology Award)
Twinny is a provider of autonomous robot-based picking solutions. It developed the self-driving robot series NarGo and the object-following robot TarGo. It also created the self-driving robot platform TARP that powers its TARAS, a multi-robot allocation system in which the most optimized robot finds its location and transports goods. At FIX 2024, the company presented Nargo as the order-picking solution for warehouse, factory, and delivery automation.
Eleven media representatives from nine countries attended the event and covered the companies presented throughout FIX 2024. On October 24, each media outlet will select and award three companies, supporting their global reach with in-depth articles and reports.
