Dräger Korea (CEO Christian Bozsak) participated in the ‘H2 MEET 2024’ event held from September 25 (Wednesday) to 27 (Friday) at KINTEX, Goyang.

Dräger Korea is the Korean branch of the global medical and safety technology company Dräger, founded in Germany in 1889. Dräger operates through a worldwide network spanning 190 countries, with over 16,000 employees involved in sales, service, development, and production.

With a long history in industrial safety solutions, including gas detectors, Dräger continues to expand its capabilities with technology-intensive products and systems that ensure hydrogen safety in various sectors. The company offers gas detectors that swiftly detect hydrogen gas leaks, personal protective equipment, and respiratory protection devices, providing safe production and distribution of environmentally friendly energy sources.

At this exhibition, Dräger Korea highlighted its high-performance, reliable gas detector portfolio. The portable gas detector series, ‘Dräger X-am,’ can detect up to four different types of gases. These models are ideal for petrochemical production, sterile packaging, and rocket fuel handling, offering specialized features to meet diverse field requirements.

The company also introduced fixed gas detectors and controllers with sensors capable of measuring toxic, combustible gases, vapors, and oxygen. These detectors operate based on rigorously tested principles such as electrochemical, infrared, or open-path detection and can detect more than 140 substances, making them highly versatile.

In addition, Dräger Korea showcased products designed to protect workers handling toxic and hazardous materials, such as the chemical protective suit ‘Dräger CPS 7900,’ tailored for extreme work environments with gas shut-off functions.

A Dräger Korea representative stated, “As global attention increasingly focuses on renewable energy sources that support carbon neutrality, the demand for hydrogen—an increasingly sustainable fuel and energy source—has surged. However, hydrogen’s flammability and explosion risks present safety challenges, which Dräger addresses with solutions that swiftly detect high-pressure, highly flammable hydrogen leaks, ensuring safe on-site responses.”

The representative added, “For over 100 years, Dräger has continued to drive reliability in medical and industrial safety technologies through close customer service, workforce expertise, continuous innovation, and quality enhancement. By promoting equipment and services that enhance safety in hydrogen production, Dräger aims to contribute to activating the hydrogen economy. This vision motivated our participation in this event.”

H2 MEET is a specialized hydrogen industry exhibition for Korean and international companies and institutions involved in hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and utilization. From this year, H2 MEET aims to become a professional event that will enhance participation from global hydrogen industry companies, generate tangible results, and contribute to understanding South Korea’s hydrogen economy ecosystem. Starting this year, it will be held in conjunction with H2WORLD and concurrently with the K-BATTERY SHOW 2024 and HARFKO (Heating Air Conditioning Refrigeration and Fluid Exhibition—Korea) 2024 at KINTEX 1.
