Hydrolux (CEO Jongwon Kim, Kilku Kang) participated in the ‘H2 MEET 2024,’ held for three days from September 25 (Wednesday) to 27 (Friday) at KINTEX in Goyang.

Hydrolux has been researching, developing, and commercializing hydrogen storage alloys, which provide safer hydrogen storage within the hydrogen economy value chain. The company has gained a solid foothold in the market by introducing differentiated technology and solutions that allow for storing larger amounts of hydrogen in a smaller unit volume than conventional methods.

At this year’s exhibition, Hydrolux showcased its hydrogen forklifts and scooters powered by hydrogen fuel and its flagship product, the high-capacity hydrogen storage solution ‘HL Power 1K.’

HL Power 1K is designed with a high-capacity hydrogen storage alloy, produced in pellet form, which delivers a storage capacity of 2.8 wt% hydrogen. This minimizes the space occupied by hydrogen gas inside the container. The technology operates at room temperature, enabling safe charging and transport under low pressure, making it a safer option than existing storage solutions.

The system utilizes a tube-charging method, storing 100 grams of hydrogen per tube. It builds a module by combining ten tubes, making it ideal for integration into fuel-cell-based mobility systems and power generation solutions.

A representative from Hydrolux stated, “We are currently accumulating sales both domestically and internationally in markets such as China, Japan, the U.S., and Taiwan, driven by our hydrogen storage and mobility solutions. This success is due to offering an expanded product lineup, from alloy sales to hydrogen scooters and integrated chambers supporting both storage and supply, while elevating the quality of each product to a commercially viable level.”

They added, “Moving forward, we aim to accelerate globalization by expanding our market influence in countries like the U.S. and Europe, which are leading the way in building hydrogen economies. We expect this exhibition to be an excellent opportunity to support our business strategies.”

H2 MEET is a specialized hydrogen industry exhibition for Korean and international companies and institutions involved in hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and utilization. From this year, H2 MEET aims to become a professional event that will enhance participation from global hydrogen industry companies, generate tangible results, and contribute to understanding South Korea’s hydrogen economy ecosystem. Starting this year, it will be held in conjunction with H2WORLD and concurrently with the K-BATTERY SHOW 2024 and HARFKO (Heating Air Conditioning Refrigeration and Fluid Exhibition—Korea) 2024 at KINTEX 1.
